Interesting to see where you guys place Stephenson. If you get him for a second rounder and I think you will as we won’t have options it will be a steal. He is the best young talent at Collingwood and will be a goal kicking mid in the future. If I look at our current mid stars he is not likely to end up at Pendles level but will have a better career than Sidebottom. That’s always been my prediction since season one. I would certainly back him to have a better career that De Goey. Would be a disaster for us to lose him

I just wouldn’t like our picks this year to be 2 and then something in the late 20s; 2 and 14 this year gives better balance between 2020 and 2021

If you're addressing my post then you're deciding between Stephenson for 3rd & 4th round picks, plus trading a pick in the teens in this years draft for a pick in the teens in next years draft.

That's it. No bulldogs, no pick 14, no nothing else.

I reckon shifting the pick to next year won't result in a worse scenario, and if the draft watchers are correct, it would be a win.

Stephenson for 3rd & 4th round picks is a certified no brainer.

Then aim for a deal for the Dog's #14.

I'd then love Collingwood to involve their future 1st in a deal with Stephenson.

We have a bit more flexibility then with 11 & 14 and I'd be prepared to trade one of them.

I reckon the Dogs will hold their 1st to draft night or just before.

Atu looked really solid 1st game then completely off pace. At this stage I don’t think he will make the grade but worth a punt if cheap. We need someone like him also but I don’t think he is good enoug

There is no doubt excitement at the prospect of Stephenson. His best is elite.

There is obviously some baggage (off-field, health, form, contract size) which is well documented, however if I think of why he will benefit with a move to North, IMO it's the ability for him to fly under the radar. Obviously a much smaller club, we have a bunch of young kids that he won't be expected to be the best of (rightly or wrongly, I think all North supporters will expect Simpkin, LDU & TT to be the better players), so Stephenson will be able to develop without any enourmous expectation.

Thanks for that. Big fan of Sidebottom whose foot skills are superb. Stephenson’s field kicking has been criticised at times - how do see that these days?

It's a different regime since his draft but I've no doubt we've always been big on Jayden. I'm of the opinion if LDU didn't slip to us that we would have drafted Jayden - if he's "available" we're mad not to jump on it.

Correct and yet they are asking for two firsts so if they get two firsts they will have to trade them or will lose them.... hence can't see them wanting to get Dunkley deal through, just promise him more mid time amd move on!
