I think we need to take into account the possibility of no junior footy next year if the pandemic gets out of hand again. So it might not be such a good idea trading into next years draft (esp 1st round) as those kids will have basically gone 2 seasons with no footy. Use what we have now to get in as much talent asap and worry about next year later on. Just a thought.

I genuinely don't see them playing finals next year and I think there is a chance that they are bottom 6. They only just scraped into the finals this year and they have weakened their list. I can't see any team that finished above them falling below them and of the teams that finished below them, I can see Melbourne, GWS and Carlton at the very least going above them.

No chance of bottom 6 unless they are massively hit by injuries. Get Howe back who at his best is an AA. Daicos will get more midfield minutes which will help cover the loss of Treloar. Their major weakness is still there forward line, but they should win enough games to finish in the bottom half of the eight.

Yeah I fully see you point.....not sure on GWS though....they’ve lost more than the pies. But the pies get a cushy run and haven’t been bottom 4-6 of the ladder for a long while. That ain’t just good management, their draw helps year on year.

I agree, I can only assume we spoke to him and were told he didn’t want to come, and decided on that basis not to pursue him. I would have been happy for the club to give a pick earlier than Essendon’s or some swap and return (11 for 18) or something. Either way Dildo’s shit has to be stopped.

I did notice the entitlement coming through. They could open up with an offer of 6&7 and we could start negotiations.

There is 5 clear elite kids in this draft, if we trade our way out of securing one of them I will be furious. We simply can't afford to be wasting the chance at our lowest pick since Carey left. Will be the only misstep this trade period IMO.

It’d be interesting to know how closely we rate say, Bruhn, Perkins and Reid to those top 5. It only takes one team to have a differing opinion to open things up.
