Get over it.

I need to include background instrumentals for copyright purposes.
Aren't you the guy who made a Saints player highlights video with One Night In Bangkok as the soundtrack a few years ago?

I mean it's an alright song, but for a player highlights video? Lol. What's next? O Superman? Bit of Brian Eno's ambient series? The Laughing Gnome?

Only having a laugh mate, we've all got strengths and weaknesses and I appreciate the highlights vids whatever the tune! Still, though... One Night In Bangkok loool

Great buy Saints. Very Jealous we didn't get him to help Cripps. He can avg between 25-30 touches a year, those players don't grow on trees. Him and Steele on the inside is great. More Footy to big King. The saints are going places.
Thanks pal and as much as it hurts to say, I hope Cripps gets help. He is still a kid and already showing signs of breaking down. Hate to see these players just get beaten up.

Ahaha you might be in the minority of that one, found out that not many people here are fans of Nas when I posted that.

I remember it was a request to use that song, not sure if that was you or not as it was quite a while ago.

It was me lol. Nas fan from way back.
There are some positive comments on the YouTube video.

Butler was a premiership player
Ryder AA
Jones brother of and similar to 300 gamer Nathan
Howard ex Interim Port Captain
Hill 2 times premiership player

Pretty good exposed form on offer for all to see. Start of the year many posters were really against Paddy and predicting another wasted year.

Well you lot got that wrong. Always someone saying its a fluke well it wasn't. That's reality.

Crouch has torn us another one the last few times we played them thought at the time gee we could do with him...if he is best available Free Agent we grab him and run provided Trelor is off the table.

Great post. I hated him every time he played against us.

Hypothetically if Adelaide don't receive pick 2 and gets a end of first round selection for Crouch, could we do a gentlemen's agreement by having Adelaide agree to the compensation pick (around 20). Adelaide trade that compo pick and one of their picks, say 29, for our pick 15 and Dunstan. Then we trade that compo pick (20) for Caldwell.

Adelaide has a little win moving up the draft order slightly. St.Kilda gets back in the draft with the pick 29 or 30 who otherwise would have only had pick 58 left.

Or push your luck and trade that pick 30 for Caldwell and keep that compo pick. Although I wouldn't have thought pick 30 gets it done for Caldwell.

Bugger ‘em

Crouch as an FA or the Crows can keep him

There are 2 kinds of clearances:

1. Clearances you get from just happening to be in a spot where the ball goes- it's not quite 100% dumb luck, (because good players position themselves well to increase their chances of getting lucky)- but most of the reason you get this clearance is because of random chance- ie the ball just finds its way to you.

2. Clearances where the ball is in a 50/50 dispute and if you don't win it, your opponent will.

If you are butchering the ball after getting clearance type 1, that isn't ideal- because pretty much anyone with a pulse could have got that clearance... so it's a bit of a waste to just hack kick it fwd.

Clearance type 2 is different though- it's not just the gain in territory you get, it's also the stopping of the opposition getting it fwd too.
If Brad Crouch wins 10 of those type 2 clearances a game, and half of them go straight down the oppositions throat- we are still way ahead.

Because we've had 5 good clearances we wouldn't likely have got without him AND he stopped the opposition from winning 5 50/50 contest clearances.
Our backline will love him doing that- even if he kicks it 40m out of the middle straight to the opposition.

That's waaay better than what happened this year when teams waltzed out of the middle and i50 over and again. (tigers game anyone?)

We haven't had a player capable of winning large numbers of clearance type 2 since Jack Steven started eating dimsims- I'm very excited we are getting our very own ballpig again.

You can't win flags without guys who regularly beat the opposition to the ball and get it going towards your goal.
I agree with this completely. None of the best ball winning mids have good disposal efficiency. They just don't go hand in hand because at the coal face there is always pressure and kicks are always rushed. Now days the game is about getting it forward and locking it forward. Foot skills are required in the back half and wings to get the ball out through the zones. Inside mids it's not as important.

Ahaha I’m trying to remember whose video that was. I think I used that one for Paddy McCartin. Pretty sure I was 16 at the time.

I used to really just make the videos for me and other people watching was a bonus, nowadays it’s just a hobby I’ve gotten back into for a bit while COVID lockdown has slowed life down and there’s less to fill the time.

I didn’t think I’d get back into it, but here I am preparing the next 200 odd videos that’ll be posted over the next month and a half.

Seeing as we’ve somehow reverted to using early 20th century middle class English phrases .
We haven’t been using “ The proof is in the pudding “.
Let’s hope the worm turns.

He has played a handful of games in 2 seasons and not shown Ben King promise. That’s not the big fish type to go all ambassador dollars for.

Yep, I know but you don’t think the AFL are worried about the exodus of four players so far, with Caldwell possibly a fifth?
Not disagreeing with you, hope you’re right, obviously.

I've never been so ambivalent about someone nominating us as their club of choice.

Tune in between Thursday and November 16. Fire pokers in the fire, champagne flutes are full, smoke and shadows behind the windows, Jimmy Webster half Tasmanian, half out the door.
Make of that what you will.

What was there to “play dumb” about?
Jarmen and Vince already had the news.

surely it would of sounded better if he said:

“The saints have been after a good midfielder and I think they have one in Crouch”

but to be surprised....do you honestly think he would of chosen that tact had it been Geelong or Collingwood?

again, you blokes like to leave him running around without a leash. Speakers volumes about how it’s gone so wrong in 3 years.

**** me, Adelaide supporter? Yuck. '97 is my childhood nightmare.

After reading your post, I was interested in what the sad sack had to say, but it was really a non-event. It was more him trying to be a media talking head while saying nothing except he wants a good outcome for Adelaide.

I rate your posts, but disagree here

Surely we are looking at moving on Seb Ross.
I would straight swap him for Caldwell if possible. Caldwell might not be as good as Seb yet but he sure as hell brings something different to our inside midfield (speed and class). A starting midfield of Steele, Crouch and Caldwell/Jones/Clark is a lot more dangerous than Steele Crouch and Ross.
