Probably needs to have its own thread to discuss.
I mentioned in the draft thread that if we fu** this up and end up in the wilderness for more than a year or two then the jungle drums will start beating for us to relocate to Tassie.

There is so much more on the line than people realise.

I understand people’s concern about this, but can’t we always just tell them to gagf? We didn’t go to the Gold Coast when our club was financially broken, why on earth would we ever agree to relocate (read: delete the NMFC from existence) given how much better our financial set up is today? We’re a member owned club, and the members will never, ever vote for a relocation, so that should be a full stop on the conversation forever.

As mentioned in the Corr thread, neither Williams or his manager have spoken publicly on him nominating Carlton. It's all done by media until the trade window starts. The only official word from either Williams or Corr has been made by GWS and that is only that they are exploring free agency.

As far as I can see the media has confirmed Corr to North with as much conviction as Williams to the Blues.

Corrs management isn’t Ramanauskas is it?

Ryan Fitzgerald told a great story on SEN the other day about Plugger. Fitzy is on his first day at the Swans after being drafted and was having a look around the facilities. He hears a big group cheer come out of one of the rooms so pops his head around the corner. All the Swans legends of the day were giving Plugger a standing ovation and Plugger was up the front wit a cricket bat raised to salute them. Turns out it was the first day back for pre-season and Plugger's skinfolds cracked the 100.

I can't recall any club being attacked as viciously embarking on a rebuild. They are lining up without any fear of retribution. **** I feel like cracking skulls.

You've gotta wonder whether a potential Plugger has been overlooked in the past decade or so as they didn't tick all the "modern footballer" boxes?

I'll answer my question: almost certainly so. And the game is far poorer for this.

At the end of round 2 this year we had one 10 of our last 15 home and away games and journos like Gerard Whately were proclaiming that we were right in it.

Haven't really kept up with the rollercoaster of the trade thread this year but I did hear something very surprising today.

Apparently we are paying 104% of the salary cap at the moment, in large part due to some of the interesting decisions made in the last few years by Joyces & co... So I think we need to readjust any expectations regarding a 'warchest' this year.

It’s called front loading contracts so that you pay less on their contracts later. It’s a tactic not an error.

I played with some guns who were over looked in TAC because they were a fraction short.. The braves did the right thing by picking caleb daniel, theres been many a caleb in the years thag have been denied a chance

I think that might be Ben Cunningham. Played a pre-season up at Port Augusta IIRC a few years back.
