Injury 2021 Injury Updates Thread

Two weeks would be pretty standard for an AC sprain. Sometimes players will play the season with it. I think we just need to make sure our guys are ripe so a rest is fine.
It certainly looked innocuous enough at the time.
Not any massivecollision involved.
Hope this is the case.

Great news on Houston. How much truth there is to that though is questionable, we've been very sneaky around injuries for a while now. You wouldn't be in the pain he was, wearing a sling post game, and unable to lift an arm or tackle if there wasnt an issue. Just got to hope it is a minor AC joint, and nothing to do with any shoulder ligament tears and/or future reco.

If he can be back though, at near 100% in the next couple weeks that would be a huge boost.
we Dodged a bullet with Houston, thank god for that

From football? Wtf?

It's not entirely uncommon in contact sports. Basically a blunt force trauma injury.

Hopefully it's only a minor tear that can heal without treatment.

Schulz had a perforated bowel when he collided with Westhoff's knee in a marking contest that time. These things happen.

The fu**. Lacerated spleen lol. What is going on Alberton.
Didn't someone get an infected leg during an SANFL game a couple years back? From a random piece of a metal on the ground?

Injury list
Riley Bonner – hamstring (1 week)
Zak Butters – ankle (3-4 weeks)
Xavier Duursma – knee (11-13 weeks)
Tyson Goldsack – knee (2-3 weeks)
Hamish Hartlett – corked thigh (assess)
Dan Houston – shoulder (assess)
Jackson Mead – spleen (TBC)
Jake Pasini – shoulder (9-10 weeks)

Butters going from TBC to 3-4 weeks is a really good outcome.

Butters back in 3-4 weeks surely isn’t accurate? Has there been any updates? Last I heard they were saying that it’s a possibility he could be out as long as Duursma.
