Key Off-Season Dates
This is a comprehensive list including dates for draft combines, list lodgements, delisted free agency windows and return to train dates. I had to collate these from three different club websites because the AFL is lazy af and doesn't have it on their website, so thought it might be helpful to share:

FAQs & Resources Thread

It has an index at the top with threadmarks so it's easy to find what you're looking for – or easier than scrolling through 250 pages of AFL Rules, Regulations and CBA pdfs anyway.

These sorts of questions are all answered along with a bunch of other resources made by posters from across BigFooty (feel free to add to it!):

Does Max Lynch for Jake Riccardi appeal?
We're pretty set for Ruck options currently, especially considering Lynch is overly impressive as a forward or defender to plug holes up either end to allow him to rotate with a Flynn/ Briggs/ Preuss when* they're all healthy

*more an if at this stage

Hope it’s okay for me to intrude but a hypothetical would Sicily for your first round suit. It could match needs for both clubs. I would not like to lose him but Hawks need to be bold

12 months ago with Heath Shaw finishing up I would have jumped at the chance, because he would have filled a need (at least that I perceived, perhaps not the club). However, with the emergence this year of Isaac Cumming, Lachie Ash and Connor Idun, with GWS Academy player Josh Fahey likely to come in with this year's national draft, I don't see that we have a place for him. Granted his skillsets are not exactly aligned to any of our current players, however Cumming's stats/style are probably the closest in role (compare Sicily's 2019 season to Cumming's current season stats), and I think the combination of skills across those players and probably Harry Perryman would be sufficient for the club. I also wouldn't give pick 10-ish for Sicily after a knee injury at 27 when it would push out younger, home-grown players. We have other list needs that are more important IMHO.

Not a surprise, I honestly don't think his decision effects much of our trade/ draft strategy unless we could convince a quality player to come up. Watching the trade desk on afl.com and they seem sure he'll stay

GREATER Western Sydney has opened contract discussions with Bobby Hill’s management to secure the emerging talent beyond the end of 2022.
Hill is already tied to the club until the end of next year, which will be his fourth season at the Giants, but in a sign of their belief in his talent the club has started discussions on a contract extension.

Also

GREATER Western Sydney forward Jake Riccardi is weighing up whether to accept a contract offer from the Giants or explore his options elsewhere.

Hopefully this turns out to be on the money

Speaking on Fox Footy, Herald Sun reporter Jon Ralph said breakout midfielder Jacob Hopper, high-profile forward recruit Jesse Hogan and established midfielder Josh Kelly were all poised to recommit to the Giants.
