To the contrary I believe Robbo gets an ‘injury bonus’ because of forced retirement which is in the players enterprise agreement.

Injury payouts are funded by an AFL (self funded I believe) insurance scheme ie not TPP money.

If based on output 75k

You sound jelly.
Be careful what you wish for.
I dare say anyone with significant numbers of big footy posts probably wouldn't want to live in a world where renumeration is strictly tied to output ... (me included)

I vaguely recall listening to Gerard Healy (I think?) last year & he said it is included in the cap.

I get paid to post on BF, don’t you?

Surely Billings 800k contract will get a decent haircut
Well a haircut has helped his good mate Sinclair so hopefully it will have a similar effect with JB* 👍🏻

* of course the description of decent is debatable 😉

Needs something tougher. Although he was first in to go the cutters the other night.

Campaigner is one word for it...I could think of a few more. 800k...FFS.

Compared to what players like Dunstan and Webster get paid he looks like a bargain. We have legacy contracts from when the water carrier was probably in our best 10 players most weeks.

We've been a better "team" with him around. Saints have had alot worse contracts than his. Fact is, when we are a flag threat, he will be wound down. Better paying him big coin than most of the others on the list when we got hin

Take McKenzie for instance.

So very true...that dude was good most weeks, the players seemed hydrated. He was underrated externally, but internally he was an integral part of the failed "pleasing" years 😏

He was, because we had no one else to pay. Thus the reason we could get Hannebery. He was the only high profile player that wanted to come and teach the kids. We paid Josh Bruce 600k a year ffs...
The Bont must be on 1.6 mil a year then

If this is the off-season where we get a decent chunk of money off the books – I wouldn't be looking outside the club just yet. We only need to take a look at Collingwood and see the issues that back-loaded contracts come with.

I'd be getting in the ears of Clark, Coffield, King and any other young stars right now and offering them long-term, front-loaded contracts. I know the allure of outside talent is hard to resist, but the benefits to the club when three or four years down the line, our boys are hitting their prime and we're paying them a fraction of what they're worth would be ground-breaking.

I find it amazing people think they have the right to discuss other's salary.

In fact it is illegal. if this information has been leaked by the club they are in breach of The Fair Work Act

The Fair Work Act 2009 requires all employers to keep certain personal information about employees in their employee records.

Personal information held by an employer, relating to someone’s current or former employment, isn’t covered by the Australian Privacy Principles, but only when used by the employer directly in relation to their employment. This information includes:

  • the employee’s personal and emergency contact details
  • information about terms and conditions of employment
  • wage or salary details
  • leave balances
  • records of work hours
The club or other are breaking the law if they are telling randoms employees of the club's salaries.

Really, our club is a leaking rabble and people deserve to be sacked and the club charged by the ACCC or people are making sh!t up about what our players are paid.

There is no law to report and discuss approximates, media does this all the time.

Exactly right, it happens all the time, but there are posters on this thread stating exactly what a player is on a year. They can guess but don't state it as fact.

If it is fact and the stated salary is what a player actually get, the club is in breach of the Fair Work Act 2009, and is liable for hefty fines. Also it is a dismissible offence so whomever leaked it should be sacked as well.

People should not state guesses of estimates from media reports like it is a fact they know as true.

DMAC's 10 million
You don’t mention whether DMAC’s 10 million is a guess or a fact [emoji848]
