Not sure where i should have posted this but sorry i can believe for one min that the doctors have told him he is at no more risk than anyone else

If there was a 0.01 per cent chance that I was at a greater risk than someone else, or my threshold had lowered and I was more susceptible to concussion than the next person running out next to me, then I was going to retire,” McCartin said.
Maybe testing wise they haven't found anything to prove he is more susceptible than anyone else.

But his playing history and the amount of concussions he has received from minimal contact would suggest otherwise.

We can match anyone bid on in the 2nd round or later. In 2022, it will be from the 3rd round and later.

The list of players we have access to this year. Hopefully one of them can play. Twomey mentions Angus McLennan and Marcus Windhager in the article, as well as Peris, so maybe 2 to keep on eye on.

ST KILDA
Alecsander McComb
Declan McComb
Jack Peris
Mitchito Owens
Leon Alao
Scott Beilby
David Lega Frost
Angus McLennan
Rhys Gillard
Josiah Kyle
Marcus Windhager

Wow so we finally get a list of names eligible and the bid system got nerfed. Sounds about right!

Although looking at that article it makes sense why. Almost every club has a long list of names in their 'academy' - you'd almost save time making a list of kids not in one haha

Wonder what Noah Balta would be worth?

I find it amazing people think they have the right to discuss other's salary.

In fact it is illegal. if this information has been leaked by the club they are in breach of The Fair Work Act

The Fair Work Act 2009 requires all employers to keep certain personal information about employees in their employee records.

Personal information held by an employer, relating to someone’s current or former employment, isn’t covered by the Australian Privacy Principles, but only when used by the employer directly in relation to their employment. This information includes:

  • the employee’s personal and emergency contact details
  • information about terms and conditions of employment
  • wage or salary details
  • leave balances
  • records of work hours
The club or other are breaking the law if they are telling randoms employees of the club's salaries.

Really, our club is a leaking rabble and people deserve to be sacked and the club charged by the ACCC or people are making sh!t up about what our players are paid.
Geez calm down champo

Probably have more luck pulling that off with Collingwood.

Satan was interviewed on ABC Grandstand over the weekend.
For those who missed it the synopsis is: the man does not give much away.
With reference to the salary cap discussion, his comments were not particularly enlightening.
”The only clubs with space in their cap are in rebuild.”
”Our cap is as tight as everyone else’s.”
There is the one exception of course.
”If a good player wants to come and play for you, you just make it (ie; salary cap room) happen.”

He's the master at saying nothing and sounding good.
I keep saying that our 2021 cap "may" be full, but that does not imply that our 2022/3 is also.
The combined savings from Robbo, Hanners, Gears, Jweb, Dunny, Ross, Billings, Kent, Ryder etc, will kick in starting next year if not already. And have we front loaded the likes of Hill and Gresh too?

I think we can afford a star player now, with a bunch of draftees to start the next wave.

We will have the money when Taranto nom's us.

I reckon young Jack Bytel is gonna come on like a steam train this year and make us reassess what we think of our midfield stocks. Byrnes too will feed in next season.
The downside of being up the ladder is that we simply lack the stocks to effect a trade for a player of Taranto's age and ilk, and we certainly do not want to give up any of our youngsters either.
The landscape has shifted for us now. We're in the FA territory at the cost of acquiring premium youth..

Does anyone have this interview? Can't find it anywhere.

The website is a nightmare to track down episodes on.
Yep just experienced it. Horrible. Not even a whooshkaa or page where they store their interviews either.

Actually forget that future 2nd. It's Adelaide we are dealing with here. They're so hard to deal with and will screw us over to win the trade just like they did with Crouch

🤪

I think there is a real problem in the AFL with high draft picks walking out the door after two years from interstate clubs but from a St Kilda perspective, we'd be negligent not to get involved.

McAsey to the Saints makes a lot of sense, both for him and for us. There's clearly a vacancy in that second KPD position and he is the perfect size and age for us.
