I’ll talk and I apologise for the abuse you have coped. That’s not fair. But I think I swap of first rounders would have to be on the cards. I would pay anywhere from 100-250k per year on Hill’s contract for the three years it had left. I think you guys will jump up your first and get an early second. Saints stay in the first round and get Cerra.

I would think;

Freo get:
Hill, 2021 first,(stk) 2022 second, (stk)

Stk get:
Cerra, 2021 first, (Freo)

3-4 picks in the top 30 means mass changes...

That's losing Billings, Ross, Dunstan (late pick) and probably another one...

Ross and Dunstan I don't mind losing

Negative. Already have a 1st rounder. That could be split.

Split another 1st rounder we will probably get for a player. Hint hint.

Can also use picks from the next draft and effectively swap them into this year's draft also.

Not that hard to get a number of picks inside 20-30.

Emma Quale was with the recruiters while they were making those decisions and wrote extensively about it.

It was obvious Trout loved Paddy for a few different reasons.

Richo supposedly knew Petracca and his family.

I think The Pelican is posting on BF.

I would look at keeping our highest pick and attempt to lure a key defender or use it in the draft to find one.
I would also expect they will not use any of next years draft picks because they will need everything to drag Ben King from the Suns.
They would looking at all free agents again and anyone from a injured Matt Crouch to a Josh Kelly would have to be looked at.

Im really curious how we see the ruck - fwd situation going forward, post Ryder.

I prefer Marshall as a fwd-ruck than the other way round, meaning do we get another ruck?

Though if we do get Ben King, you think you have to play him forward, meaning you've got both Kings & Marshall.

There probably isn't room for another ruck, meaning one of the Kings probably has to play second ruck, and it would have to be Ben.

Looking at that whole conundrum you can really see why we went after Sam Draper so hard, and it would have been a good move.

Brad Hill is turning 28 this season and Cerra will be 22 and has already finished in the top 5 in our best and fairest. There would be no way we'd be giving up our first rounder in a trade for a player who is struggling in BradHill for a trade involving a player who is one of the most skilled mids in the afl under 23. I don;t think Freo would trade for anything more than Brad Hill and your first for Cerra and our second.

As we found out from Freo , they are as easy to deal with as Dodo - I still feel Bytel and Byrne are going to be good but how good will have to be seen - we are desperate atm for a tall rebounding defender since by all accounts Carlisle is cactus and a ruckman who is AFL grade.
Surely they something planned for next season - maybe poaching a player.
I feel Steele , Crouch will be ok if we can get Gresham or Jones injury free and have Bytel , Hunter , Byrne rotating and maybe a free agent like Matt Crouch if he came at a bargain price or Dunkley from the Dogs.
It will be interesting what they do with Seb Ross , hopefully he can reinvent himself in another position.
As we know rucks are scarce as hens teeth so it will be interesting if we go for one in the draft.

The way Brad Hill plays he could play until he is 48.
