Was delisted and then put on the rookie list so then becomes UFA I believe. Would compliment our list and structure, both he and Marshall very capable forwards.

Just got back from holidays in the NT, and over 1500 unread posts. You blokes have been on fire.
Ok that's all good.

Oh and the NT does have the interwebs (admittedly a couple of ks from any town and you are in trouble)

Actually he could be about the perfect fit for us.
Good enough to do the job but not enough to keep Heath out of the side if he comes on.
I think another 5kgs on him and he'd be well worth it.

To me he's not really an answer to the ruck. He's handy as a ruck KP type but he's sort of more of the same as Marshall where his athleticism and around the ground work is good but his ruck craft is just okay. I'd prefer a dominant ruck like Downie or someone with experience who can just fill in when needed. He retired due to anxiety issues and was struggling but if he's a bit older and more likely to play perhaps he'd be in a better space. He was young and a long way from home before.

He has more ability than the other 2nd hand rucks we have had. He will go in a couple of weeks I reckon, once the finals dust settles.
Agree, which is why I think he'd be good depth.

He'd have to know though that he's going to be stuck behind Marshall and Ryder until Ryder retires though so that makes it a tough decision for him.

Who is Downie ?
I found him , you on the wacky weed again , he hasn't played since 2017

Max Lynch from Collingwood would be worth a look.

Again, it's going to be hard to attract a ruckman knowing they will be third in line, but if they are prepared to play a few games this year and then take the reigns the following year then that would be perfect.
They will only be third in line if they play to that. If the new recruit is playing well then he moves up the pecking order. No position should be guaranteed.

He matched it with the big O from the Lions this year and kicked 4 goals on him. Not many players do that, especially tall guys with 10-15 games under their belt

You're always looking for the "answer" gringo.

If we're to believe the scuttlebutt the "answer" is Ben King and Marshall rucks on his own which it %100 fine by me.

Chol is then 2nd in line till Heath pushes him out.
Paddy 34yo
Roma 26yo
Chol 25yo
Heath 19yo

Looks pretty good to me.

Yep, but if a player has a choice between being a back up or going to a club where he's a genuine chance to be the first choice ruck they will more than likely choose the latter you would think.

Preuss is the exception here and that didn't go well for him.

He may be comfortable in the waiting line. Also will know that Paddy might play the 12-14 games, so he is in the side for almost half the season if he plays well. He and cox are both gettable right now, where the others are maybes. We have to get ahead of the pack. I am not sure about the other guys who have no exposed form, that turns into guesswork then

Chol could be anything. I'd have a crack.

Would love it if we pick up Chol. Still very young so can backup well now and also has scope for improvement

He may well be, but I think it's a difficult sell.

He's one I hope we are talking to though. There's been talk about him wanting out for a few months now.

Not many rucks can take the ball out of the middle like he did in that recently posted attachment. Wonder what his marking skills are like? Think Aliir type stuff down the track
I think the issue with Chol is not his ground work. His tap work is pretty average and often gets beaten in the ruck.

If he can improve that he'd become a weapon.
