Probably worth remembering that Starcevich still only averaged 12 disposals a game for us this year. He is not a conduit out of defense and whilst he might improve that side of his game he still remains primarily a defense first and second player. I want to improve the defensive side of our defensive unit but I think we need to consider the offensive side as well.
I think his Ave disposals are a reflection of how he was asked to play more than anything.
He's never been much of an accumulator in the reserves or underage.

Given he's been in an AFL system for years now I'm sure he'd get 20+ if he played as a mid.
Daniher for a speedy midfielder makes us premiership favourites IMO.
Fitness, strength and experience.
I had a similar thought around his fitness and while this is not a completely thorough investigation (as you can only see the top 5 players on the ground), on the Telstra tracker Starcevich is one of the few Brisbane players to make an appearance. Is he really fit? Experience would say he doesn't win a lot of the footy.

Why take a guy, who in all respects should have at least been in the top 40 AA calculations, out of an area he is excelling in? Second year down back, leave him and enjoy the best part of 10yrs as a mainstay in our backline.
Yes.
His experience is as a lockdown defender. If he was averaging 12 touches as an offensive HBF then I'd agree with you.
So, because he doesn't play as an offensive defender then he should be able to?

I don't believe it, Cats would not sign him, Schrodinger is only 32 years of age.Not gonna happen. Schrodinger not coming to Brisbane - just resigned with the Cats.

Yeah but which cats are going to turn up for game day? The live ones or the dead ones? Not gonna happen. Schrodinger not coming to Brisbane - just resigned with the Cats.
Expect to see a bit of a dead cat bounce next year.Yeah but which cats are going to turn up for game day? The live ones or the dead ones?
