If he kicks as badly as this guy when he kicked 45 goals playing as a midfielder fwd... I'LL TAKE HIM!

I would be astounded if he gets past West Coast's pick 2. WA boy. Cant see why they wouldn't select him.
You may be correct if they are going to take a Wa player, but would suspect there are 4-5 others ranked before him.

Humphrey idolises Crippa. Imagine the extras he'd give playing or being mentored by him? Could be that great mid sized forward who can genuinely transition to midfield.

De Goey wasn't a forward as a junior, rather a Dunkley esq mid jet.

Dont mind him.

Also think Jedd makes sense if he's there for us or Hollands who had a good U18 Champs final.

See how it plays out but either way, we have 95% of the list that could win us #17. Acres could be the last piece if we stay fit and a few more things click.

In my view, whoever we draft will be in the next flag, assuming this group wins one.

I think 5-12 are about the same and all afl quality players

Yes all true, still a shame as I quite admired the amount of work and interaction Knightmare provided. Had some shocking takes on draftees but always went out of his way to discuss them in depth and provide context.

Fun fact, he actually rated Blake Acres the best player in his draft at the time... So I guess we're getting a gun! :p
So, in essence he made a brief living from writing absolutely bullshit conjecture for a couple years.

Almost….does he ‘launch’ at it though do you think?

Yeah he does from what i've seen. He launches. He's got great seperation on the lead. He can pack mark from different angles. He follows up on the ground. He thinks team. He is instinctive. etc

Bar maybe a touch more aggressive nature(nitpicking), he looks to be the complete AFL KPF prospect.

Matt Rendell was saying on SEN that beyond the first dozen its a crap draft pool.
Haven't listened to trade radio this year, did last year though...
Last year did my WTF SOS daily updates :tongueoutv1:

If you listen to trade radio, how SOS and Rendell ever had a job, with their opinions beggars belief...

Very even draft this year. Players taken in the 2nd round will end up having better careers than a few kids taken in the first dozen

Whats the Likelihood of us trading down?

Rumours that Acres will be done with a F3
Assuming we get pick 47 (Jones)
And the possibility of a Setterfield pick (40s)

What will we do? There’s quite a few picks to play with there, even though we might not be bringing any big names in, It still looks like we will be busy.

Similar to what Forty3 mentioned, either we trade up to get the player we want, or trade out and add players with later picks

Personally, I would use our 1st and 2nd to draft this year

Same as every other AFL journo/writer. But he's still working for ESPN so I assume he's still on their books.
I'm not sure being a low end writer for a blog (even if it is espn) is particularly lucrative.

I would love someone with more spare time than me to look through his last 10 draft predictions and comments to see if any of it came true.

I think most unbiased people would say sos (and team) had one all time draft and absolutely butchered a shit tonne of them.

I would say most people who watch a small amount of footy could have hit those odds.

The real quality was being able to put us in a position to have a crack.

If he didn't completely **** the drafts after the talls draft we would be top 2 or 3 for a decade.

We're still going to be ok but no certainty for a grannie or a flag with this list.

I have decided I can't be *ed watching any tapes or doing any research, So we should just trade this year's first for future picks
I have also traded in my armchair and my YouTube subscription for next year's models...

So am I right in saying that if we get pick 37 for Jones (end of second round - hoping) and we bundled that up with our 2 ×4th rounders for a team that needed points we might get a pick around 29 or 30? Clearly we need someone who wants points to have a pick there.

Suppose that you could bundle them up with our second rounder to move higher. Depends on how many picks that we are looking to take. Quite a few options to move up a bit.

WC are tossing up 3-4 players, Cadman is high on their list. They like Sheezel, but concerned with the go home factor

Biggest mystery is who North take
I am way behind in watching footage.

But Wardlaw seems like a clear front runner to me
