Well fully expect Hinkley will get sacked at the end of the year, because we won’t make the finals.

That’s a win.

They rate Western Bulldogs' draw as the hardest, but without looking at all their games, their double-ups suggest otherwise:

Play twice: Adelaide, Fremantle, Geelong, Gold Coast, Richmond

That's only one finals team, never mind top six team, they play twice - wtf?
That's west coasts double ups. Doggies play Geelong Cats, GWS Giants, Hawthorn, Melbourne, Sydney Swans

Melb vs Essendon also on the Friday night of the April Fools Showdown - guess which game will get the national coverage.

Our home Showdown not until R23 lol
FMD what a pack or arseholes. How many other times outside the Covid Footy frenzy stuff where they had to squeeze games together to dodge virus have they had a double header on Friday night?? Maybe the odd Friday ANZAC day where you have the arvo game, then a twilight game then the Freo's Len Hall tribute game starting around 8pm WA time.

The fixture algorithm just fixtures based on weightings. One of those is "minimize travel of victorian teams" the second is "maximize timeslots for victorian teams" and the last one is "ensure port plays in all the backwaters'

AFL 2022 fixture difficulty (Easiest to hardest)
.....
12. Geelong Cats
13. Port Adelaide
14. St Kilda
15. GWS Giants
16. Western Bulldogs
17. Essendon
18. Melbourne

Based on 2021 percentage of the teams they play twice in 2022
Surprise, surprise, surprise, the top 4 sides of 2021 get the toughest FIXture based on ladder position, along with a couple of finalists. That's how it is supposed to work.

The real measure of how tough the FIXture is, factors in 5 and 6 day breaks and travel components, but nobody really tries to calculate that.

No games in Sydney.
At least we don't play GWS in Canberra per normal.

After playing Collingwood in Melbourne twice last season the afl have rewarded us by letting us play them in Melbourne again in our only match up.

Have they even played us at adelaide oval yet?
Agree, it's f***ed big time. Surely d***head eddie isn't still getting into gil's ear?

We've only played them twice at AO, first in 2015 just after Phil Walsh's passing & the other in 2017, the week after the crers smashed us here in the wet.

I'm hoping we will be wearing the bars at the first home game to help celebrate the life of the Great Man. Replica 77 guernsey would be perfect.

Crows home game ... Nah

AFL wont allow that :-(

Yeah I'm thinking we've managed to wrangle the prison bars for a Russell Ebert tribute game in Round 2. If true, the question becomes did we sign them away to get that?

Eddie: "THERE IS A CONTRACT THAT SAYS PORT CAN ONLY WEAR THE PRISON BARS WHEN A RUSSELL EBERT PASSES AWAY"

I look forward to the Crows trying to rough us up as much as possible on the eve of finals.
Why would they want their players banned for finals??

It could be their racist former captain's last game in round 23. Would be nice to send him out with a drubbing and chorus of boos.

lol if he returns to the senior side he's going to get booed big time, no matter who he plays.

The Non Negotiable game's for Hinkley to *in win - otherwise * off.

1. WCE at AO Rd 6 ANZAC Rd. we are 0-5 against them at AO.

2. Rd 2 v Hawks at AO - Russell Ebert Tribute game.

3. Rd 10 v Geelong at Kardinia Park. We haven't won there since 2007. We are 2-12 there and 0-7 since 2007 win.

Any game we get granted to wear the PB's goes to the top of the list. I doubt the AFL has grown a set to let us, but if its the home showdown, that's Rd 23, and Hinkley might be gone by then, so get the 3 above done first.
