How does Gary Winter feel about one of his agents saying that?DJ dropped the word "indigenous" there
Here's the quote...Rankine’s manager Dimi Parhas recently told senior Suns staff including coach Stuart Dew he would not move another indigenous player back to Adelaide given his recent experiences.
Dimi Parhas will do whatever the player requsests in reality if he wants to keep them on his books, he can give them advice but at the end of the day he works for the player not the other way round.
I hope they do, I'd prefer Charlie Clarke or Noah Long anyhow but I doubt a small forward would be on our agenda if Rankine is procurable.Or a fwd/mid type
He’s small but he’s very, very classy
Wonder if Dimi kids still barrack for the Crows? How does Gary Winter feel about one of his agents saying that?
I think Freo's 2023 3rd for Himmelburg is fair, and we could whack that in there too. There appears to be plenty of players leaving.
Crouch, Sholl, Frampton, Himmelburg
That's without others that should: McAsey, Brown.

I can't believe he hasn't been approached by a journalist for comment.Wonder if Dimi kids still barrack for the Crows?
My money would be on Himmelberg getting another short term contract here.I think Freo's 2023 3rd for Himmelburg is fair, and we could whack that in there too.
May be true as well.My money would be on Himmelberg getting another short term contract here.
May be true as well.
I think we keep one of Frampton or Himmelburg, and there's probably SOMEONE who will give a future 3rd for whoever leaves.

I wouldn't be surprised if both are gone, and we get Francis as depth.Nope, Himmelberg more likely to be traded, Frampton can technically cover both ends of the park and will get an extension imo

Nah, just offer our first next year. How's this one -
Pick 4 and 2023 1st Round for
Rankine, pick 8, pick 24 and pick 35?
Feels a bit too good to be true for us, though I DO think GCS will be looking to move picks into next year.
Maybe 4 and 2023 1st Round for Rankine, 8 and 24?
Maybe we should trade out all 2022 and 2023 picks for Rankine, JHF, and anyone else we want, before the AFL hands out camp penalties...Nah, just offer our first next year.
If GC don't accept, he goes to the ND with a min salary and we pick him at 4.
His inability to hold down a position in one of the worst teams in the competition, and the reasons why he was dropped, would not have improved his stocks at all.His stocks have risen since coming back from injury, Vader, because that was never a guarantee. What is debatable is just how much his stocks have risen.

Frampton has shown that he can't play either end of the ground, and should be one of the first delistings announced.Himmelberg more likely to be traded, Frampton can technically cover both ends of the park and will get an extension imo

Agree ......Himmelberg is a much better preference over Frampton ....good backup ruck, fwd, and like his brother has a defensive capability in a pushFrampton has shown that he can't play either end of the ground, and should be one of the first delistings announced.
Berg has shown that he can play in the forward line, albeit not performing consistently enough to hold down a position. Cutting both would leave us desperately short of talls, so Berg being re-signed is the most likely outcome.

Yes .....I've always believed Himmelberg has great footy IQ .....much more than FramptonHard to say that Himmelburg has defensive capability, since he hasn't playered there since he was a child.
Long and pointless? Not sure I agree, but more posts like this please.
Why would draft picks be involved? This isn’t draft tampering or salary cap related. If the AFL strip us of picks we'll have no choice but to send Rankine to the preseason draft and there by the AFL actually screw over Golf Coast as we'll still get the player we want.

We're not taking him with pick 4 in the National Draft. We're taking him in the PSD - or, far more likely, we're trading for him. No senior player in modern times needs go back into the National Draft. If we are going to pick him at 4 why wouldn’t we offer that?
The post I quoted said ND which makes no sense, if you’re prepared to burn it, offer it and try and get something backWe're not taking him with pick 4 in the National Draft.
