Its not Hamish. This would have been Nicks request for a big bodied mid to come in if we had a run of injuries. Nicks just protecting himself from floggings with finding more ways to be defensive.

He was drafted as an emergency. There was never ever an intention to extend him beyond the end of this season.

We missed a great opportunity to bring a talented youngster on to our list.

Imo, it's a fail in rebuild mode.

Clearly that was the strategy since we found a same but "better" player to Freeman which I assume who we were planning to sign up after his trial with us, we wanted experience in the midfield to assist the younger players in the SANFL after the mid season and didn't know Crouch forms was still sh*t after mid season so we actually didn't have too.

Not drafting Carmichael at 188cm with huge upside and being 22 yo could end up being Hamish biggest error IMO

Has shown plenty but could be a new guy after an AFL pre season too
