I wonder if we'll think about trading out our first rounder this year for a team like Carltons future 1st and future 2nd. It'd be nice to have multiple first rounders in a strong draft next season.

I would do it unless they project a that there is a kid that can play a role next season is available.

Trading out fits with Taylor's strategy of trying to get a batch of high end kids in the club together. If we trade for F1 then our draft hand next year will be 3x1sts and 2x2nds, so should give us plenty of currency to trade up and recruit some high end talent.

It wouldn't surprise me if we use our strong 2023 draft hand on chasing a key forward from another club. Maybe a Georgiades or Ben King? We are going to need currency if we are to attempt something like that. Have to have the thought of Koz wanting to go home end of next season too unfortunately. The longer his contract extension gets put off the more likely he is to leave of course. So if it's still dragging on midseason, I'd be thinking he's gone. Might be able to leverage out a Georgiades for Koz or grab another first rounder? Would hate to lose him though. Massive hit losing him and Dogga in quick succession. Would like that contract extension done asap.

I think we are stock piling to have a crack at a big name recruit next year, king would be an incredible get, I wouldn’t think we would take all those pics to the draft.

King would be a huge waste of money with the way our mids dump the ball forward.

I would trade all three firsts for King, even coming off a knee.

How’s our salary cap squeeze now though with getting Grundy??

No-one really knows. We can only speculate.

Probably haven't got a great deal of room, but on the other hand a number of past deals may have been front loaded and we'll be losing Hibberd, Melk, Gawn, TMac, BBB etc over the coming years.

So basically...I have no ****ing idea.

Excellent news that we've signed a 206cm project ruck as our Category B rookie.

Kills off any suggestion of taking an 18 year old beanpole in the draft on the off chance they turn out to be Max Gawn II

And with his basketball background he will obviously be a 206cm Scott Pendlebury so that should be handy.

Woah I didn't know Scott Pendlebury had a basketball background

Kyah Farris-White is the name. Another hyphen to our list.

We have

Alex Neal-Bullen
Kysaiah Kropinyeri-Pickett
Andy Moniz-Wakefield

And we had

Jay Kennedy-Harris

I think the first hyphen played for the Demons (or at that time we were either called the Fuschias or Redlegs) was Ivor Warne-Smith

To Adelaide? Surely he wouldn’t be that insane?
Whhhaatt? Adelaide’s unreal, I love the place.

Great arts community, amazing food (so much killer Japanse especially, i haven’t had anything comparable here). Clubbing is mad there too, some killer bars and venues with a really different vibe to Melbourne, heaps of older people and way less
drugs (don’t get me wrong drugs are great but it’s lovely being places where the aim is listen to music and not get totally written off, which kinda feels like everywhere here).
It’s really pretty. And it’s not as much of a bloody nanny state with dickhead cops everywhere like here :(

I fn love Adelaide, would love to move there in a few years.

Mate we have armed officers on public transport. Armed. Literally dudes that aren't smart enough to be cops given firearms to stop kids fare evading.
I spent years living in wondrous Surrey Hills, one of the most affluent suburbs in Victora, thank you very much. Couple of years back they put a bloody jail cell at the train station! A jail cell, on a ****in' train platform, in a legislated dry area with literally no clubs and pubs for miles. For what? Locking up people like me, obviously.
Meanwhile beautiful South Australia is one of the first countries IN THE WORLD to decriminalize lovely herbal marijuana. In the world!!

But yeah Sydney, lol! Couldn't believe it when I stayed in Kings Cross a couple of years back. 1am and the bartender called last drinks, streets were empty. What a bloody disgrace, couldn't even buy a wristie!!

Yeah, I've lived in Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney, and can say they are all shit in their very own unique ways.

Adelaide is great if you love wineries, beaches and literally nothing else except for getting glassed by strangers on Hindley Street.

Melbourne is one of the more pretentious places on earth (even as a art/music/food nerd who looks like a caricature of a Fitzroy resident, I find it too much). Also the beaches are pathetic and the city is so god damn grey (plant some trees, losers).

Sydney (where I've been for a few years now) is great if you have a penchant for getting strip-searched by cops, don't like having fun and are into paying $700+ a week for a rental that looks like it could collapse on you at any given minute.

Good, mate Let's go to the t-20 and get hammered.

Agree with the bolded part. I'd say the further you are away from the CBD the better it is for your health. Even infrequent visits there are stressful, can't imagine actually living/working there.

There are places in VIC/NSW that are worth visiting, just don't make one of those the CBD.
