Others have caught up, and the game has become a tad more offensive, since last season.

I blame Levers overly defensive mindedness, for setting us up to fidget, and feel the pressure. He started the rot again, as he has in so many games this year.
His poor work when he has the ball under pressure, is destructive to our team.

I would like Demons to go for Dursma. Out of favor at Port and a top wingman. Would much rather him then seeing Harmes and Jordan lumbering up the wing.

I’m actually glad we’re done for the year. Knowing what was coming and watching us spud around week after week making the same incompetent mistakes was doing my head in.

There are some easy ways to reinvent this team if Goodwin is brave enough to take them.

If JVR plays tonight instead of Melk then either he or Fritsch gets the second gamer as an opponent. Goody passes up an extremely obvious opportunity to be more dangerous up forward to play his mate. list manager has to force Melk out to stop him doing it next year.

Spargo and Sparrow didn’t deserve their spots. Sparrow gets traded and Chandler takes his spot. Spargo’s spot we need to bring in a crafty small/medium goalkicker.

A quality winger with good skills is an obvious need. Trust our list team to identify a second or third year player who can do this and won’t cost the earth.

Salem should be traded, he’s never going to be dropped to the twos and he’s keeping Bowey who will be a much better player than him out.

Neither Tmac nor Brown should be starting next year. Find a competent tall forward to play with JVR.

Design a game plan based around the fact that Fritsch is our best forward and needs the ball delivered properly with space to lead into.

Do those things and we’re back in the hunt because we still have a lot of strengths.

Do not trade Grundy in. If we want to play a second ruck then just play Weid in the role Pedo used to play until we develop a young ruck. He is serviceable in that role and it might give him some confidence up forward. If nothing else when he rests forward he takes away a defender.

PS I think Weid sucks, but the idea of Grundy and his paycheck sucks more to me.
