2. Logue wants September off, would be my guess. Could be wrong of course.

We’ve also got a no body shaming policy.
And hand out participation awards, everyone’s a winner when you play here.

Depends how bad we want tucker I guess....I doubt freo will do a deal for him seperate and before the logue deal just incase we try and walk logue. They kinda have us by the balls.
Possibly but Tucker is contracted and happy to stay so if they try for overs we say thanks but no thanks to Tucker and we walk Logue. I’m not sure the interest in Tucker is as high as we think.

What about “property portfolio management “? Or did Brad take that with him?

Tucker has to do a medical with us. It's not a sure thing, let alone something that we will let get in the way of the Logue trade*

*The most important trade of our off season considering age, need, talent

I wish the ITK posters would stop blowing threads up with information I could only find here because it means that I have to scroll past them all to get to trade hypotheticals written by soccer fans that totally ignore the history of AFL trades and drafting.
I don't know mate, I feel like my hypothetical is more likely than the idea we're going to get Logue for a future 3rd or we're going to 'walk' him to the psd

Didn't say it would get in the way of a logue trade....may get in the way or walking logue to the draft and also getting tucker. That's all I was saying

First of all, I think we should stop referring to what the AFL has given us as priority picks. To say that they've given us some future assistance picks, or SFA picks for short, is a better description. Anyway:

Start with picks 1, 55, 65 & 73.

Trade 1 - Trade both SFA picks to Freo for Logue and pick 41 (which Freo receives from Melbourne in the Jackson trade). Can't say that I'm that keen on Tucker and would rather try to use the second SFA pick to trade back into this draft.

Trade 2 - Our 2023 2nd pick to Gold Coast for picks 25 & 31. Something like this is actually on the cards since Dunkley nominated Brisbane - prior to that Gold Coast we very well placed to trade up for Brisbane's first, but they may now look to trade some of their 2nd round picks for 2023 picks, noting they won't have many list spots available this year and need points for academy picks next year.

Trade 3 - Picks 31 & 41 to Essington for pick 22. Assuming a Davey bid is likely to come before pick 22.

Trade 4 - Picks 55 & 65 (and a non-Ashcroft bid) to Brisbane for their 2023 2nd rounder.

Trade 5 - Pick 73 and our 2023 4th rounder to Melbourne for Bedford and pick 68.

At the draft take Wardlaw (2), Hayes (25), Lemmey or Scully (28) and use pick 68 to take Harvey or match the bid on him.

Out: Turner, J Walker*, Bosenavulagi, Hayden & P Walker. Delist Spicer & Mahony to re-draft in the rookie draft.
In: Logue, Bedford, Wardlaw, Hayes, Lemmey/Scully, Harvey and a key forward as DFA^.

*Would prefer to work out a deal with Polec and delist him, then keep J Walker on the list. We've clearly had a severe shortage of KPDs this year and bringing in Logue doesn't remedy that altogether. I hope we draft a KPD and someone like Walker to guide them through their first year in the VFL would be ideal. If we do delist Josh, would be good if we signed him up to the VFL squad.

^Not sure who, but for mature depth I'd look through the delisted free agents for someone who could play CHF. Intent would be to play Comben all year in the seniors, but if his body continues to fail him, then someone who can step up if need be. Would also offer support to Edwards and hopefully a KPF draftee in the VFL forward line.

How about pick 1 for logue, tucker and pick 13?

Along with trading pick 1, the historical rarity I don't need to go into, it was this idea:
I just really don't think that the future 2nd PP is going to be enough for Logue, his contract status notwithstanding - and i don't think the PSD threat is viable at all. we weren't the only suitors, and i suspect that if it got to that Logue would be happy to accept a deal elsewhere at a team that would be willing to actually cough up the mid to late first rounder that a talented 25 year old key defender should rightly cost.
That I find absurd. I can't think of a single time this has happened, at least since I started really paying attention to player movements (around 2011). A player, who is uncontracted, changing his club of preference - during the trade period - because the club he has told he wants to join won't stump up enough for the club that is he is leaving. Compare this to the PSD route that has been used twice in the past three trade seasons.
