Fair point, but I think Larkey is a big asset and will be much better if he had a competent contested marking tall next to him. I also think it will help our kids and back line till move the ball quickly to some big targets. Apart from Naughton, the options I mentioned are unlikely to be around in a few years, but could see them all making us better in 2023 or at least be good back up if Chom continues to get injured. Our forward line depth is very thin.

Mate, great points. I agree, wholeheartedly. Imagine if Larkey gets injured.....we're f**ked. We need to be looking at a ready made mature forward, even if they aren't a star.

Damien Barrett would have s**t canned North a multitude of times while B.Scott and Noble was coaching us. It makes me sick hearing him being best buddies with them now on trade radio.

I really should stop listening to trade radio, they have got Conor McKenna joining the cats too now.
Did Rendell call him Coo-har McKenna?

Serious questions: are we looking at Conor McKenna? What, is Geelong now the Irish capital, of Victoria? Feck off. Also, I'm p155ed off that Bedford is considering GWS. His pace and forward crumbing is exactly what we need. Are we linked to any other small forwards, since Rioli has nominated Port Powa?

These days if enough ppl believe something , it’s the truth.

I am pretty sure there would be at least one player that has ended up moving clubs due to runaway rumours that they were shopping themselves around.

On Geelong board some one said 100 % pick 7 and Bowes definitely going to Geelong

It's like these trade/draft periods are now rigged/scripted. Everyone is so nice. Let's just f**king allow the Premiers to get pick 7, plus a former pick 10 (24 year old), no problems. Hey, GC. Don't make them stronger, you idiots.

I know people have been saying it forever. But geelong will fall of the cliff before we are challenging. Once we have been in the 8 a couple of years in a row we will have a chance with these deals.

The problem with that deal is it hinges on Bowes but it should, because the bloke has pushed his salary to the last years of his deal to help the club and now they’re shopping him so they can keep two other players.

Why wouldn’t Bowes want to go to the premiers over the twice spooners? He’ll leave money on the table to do it because he’s already shown he puts club first so he might as well be in the best spot for a flag.

What if we can offer a better deal, for the Suns? What if the Suns say seeya, but you're off to North Melbourne, where you can pick up your full salary....and we get a better deal? Bowes can say, what he wants. This is what I mean, it should mean f**k all.

You can’t trade a player to a club he doesn’t want to go to.

What If: Bowes has his heart set on Geelong, so we agree to pay some of his wage whilst he plays for them, and in return we get pick 7.

I know it can't be done, but we would effectively be purchasing a draft pick. Not sure any club would want to tie up cap space on another club's player, but if any club could, it'd be us.
