I think that the way that it has happened, after 1 year and as the number 1 pick, I don't see it changing. I think his step-father has a fair bit or control in the situation. Just my opinion.

He has also shown that he lets these feelings alter his play. Thats okay, he is young. But he will still be young in 12 months. I don't expect this to change overnight.

Clarko might turn him around. If it was either keep him or give him away for a late pick then I'd give him a chance.

However, a big factor in this for me is that I rate Sheezel as a talent and as a personality. He seems quality. Silky smooth operator like Pendles and with elite endurance. I also rate Tsatas.

I would just turn the page and start again now, rather than in 12 months.
North are very keen on Sheezel who has made a late season run into calculations. Putting aside the Tom Browne deal we are trying to get in a position to draft 2 of Cadman/Wardlaw/Sheezel. IF we can’t trade JHF then Tsatas MAY be a consideration but I don’t think he’s what we need. Cadman fills the key forward role Sheezel the goal kicking small with tricks and Wardlaw the inside bull if JHF goes. Pretty simple really.

Pick 1 for 3, 12 and a future second

JHF for pick 2 and F1

That's about the minimum and probably where it ends up if the trade goes ahead. How the other clubs make it happen is not our problem

12 for Clark

I can live with that

If Jesus thinks this is great the Magic Trade Dice must agree, let’s ask

I think if there were more first rounders coming our way they would have been mentioned.

We are going to get *ed here, this is smelling exactly like the s**t we got served when we rolled over for CCJ and Brown all over again.
All port want to give up is a future 4th by the sounds of it.

We should be getting what ever we can in the top 5 of this draft and then the rest should be future 1st picks. Next draft is the one we want to heavily invest in. I'd only trade pick 1 this year if it was for another pick in top 5 and a future 1st

Have to consider list spots with all this too. Cooper Harvey is 1 already, another 2 are mandatory, and then I think we only have room for 1 more player unless we move blokes to the rookie list. Please correct me if I'm wrong on that.

Which makes me think what we'll aim for is 2,3, Points for Cooper, a Player traded in, and then try and stockpile of future picks. Which is all to say I think there's a good chance we get Hunter Clark with the extra GWS currency, the GWS and JHF deals aren't as flash as some want, but that we will trade into next year with excess picks on draft night(s) and the end result is a pretty decent haul.

Lets give this 4 way deal a try.

Port
In: JFH, Rioli
Out: 8, 33, f1, f2

GWS
In: 1, 2
Out: 3, 12, 15, f1

WC
In: 8, 12, 33, f1(gws), f1(pa), f2(pa)
Out: Rioli, 2, f1

NM
In: 3, 15, f1(wc)
Out: JHF, 1
1 alone is arguably worth 3 and 15, and JHF's worth is clearly higher than a future 1st.

The devil is in the detail, I wouldn't lose any sleep over what has been leaked.

My issue with all these 2, 3, 4 and 6 way deals is they seem to suffer from PA not ponying up enough, I don't want to do a deal that helps Port if it compromises what we get out of it.

We shouldn't be paying JHF and 1 for 2 and 3, it just sounds ridiculous. There has to be a lot more to it than that and none of these dodgy leaked deals have Port coughing up anything more than what we have already rejected.

Our deal with GWS should not be drawn into the deal for JHF.

They said GWS offered us 3+12 for 1, then how does that equate to us getting 3+2? That means JHF not even worth pick 2, that is bollocks.

I just cant see how it's done unless Port coughs up a lot more than what they have been willing to pay.

I think we have to be moving at least one or 2 to the rookie list. Maybe we're into a state league mature ager but otherwise we'll need spots for picks.

Seems like us and West coast are holding all the cards here and yet in all of these deals we're the two clubs getting absolutely shafted. At this point I want us to keep JHF and take Cadman at 2 after bidding on Ashcroft at 1. **** trading anything because all of these arrangements are trash for us.

Clarko needs to have a conversation with him telling him to cut off his parents, delete their number and move out of their home permanently. If his career is going to be a success these unhealthy relationships have to stop despite the fact it’s hard to make the break.

From what I've been told, Wardlaw is an absolute gun and if his hammies are okay then he should be at the top of this draft. So I would also prefer him.

And, an extra thought on Clarko/JHF. He is a young Indigenous kid who might have an issue with his Indigenous father in his ear about Port (my opinion). I don't know that the timing is great for Clarko to be the guy to get inbetween that. I wonder if Clarko is keen to avoid it and move on.

This maybe what is fueling the continuing “negotiations” that Clarko now wants him gone as well due to his potential mental health issues.

The kid is 19 and has shown a propensity to sook it up and be petulant (re his ice bath) his step father is an indigenous person and no doubt has said Poort under anyone would be a “safer” environment than Norf under Clarko and add to that he can go home and suck on mums tit after training ala “Lord Robin Arryn of the Vale”.

So Clarko may well be fearing the kid will just play the mental health card and we are screwed.

Better to take something rather than nothing at all.
I don’t trust this kid to grow up anytime soon, I don’t trust his step father and family not to be in his ear ever second of the day tugging at the heart strings, Poort have already shown they are willing to sabotage anything to get their way.
