Any chance of us upgrading a few second rounders to get a late first rounder?
eg. Collingwood need a lot of 2nd rounders to get hold of all their players they are eyeing.
or Brisbane's need for points to pay for Ashcroft assuming they lose their first rounder for Dunkley

Or is it not worth the bother this draft?

Unless another suitor comes forward, I totally expect Clark to be a saint in 2023.
North just don’t have the capital to facilitate a trade. He’s too good for a future second, and they’re not stupid enough to trade a future first with their list.
GWS
2x late 1st round for Clark Hopper Taranto compo

🚨 🚨 🚨 THERE IS A ****ING WALLABY ON THE KANGAROO BOARD 🚨 🚨 🚨

Hunter Clark (St Kilda)

“We saw the concessions that were given North Melbourne yesterday.

“Incidentally, that future second-rounder, I expect them to use that on Hunter Clark.

I think that’s likely at the moment as we sit here right now.

I think that future second-rounder that they’ve been given – a 2023 second-round pick – could be involved.”

In other words... Sam knows nothing...

Would love our future 2nd rounder to nab Clark, but there's nothing there to suggest it will actually happen.”

Funny that you mention this,

A few years back, someone that I work with who is also St Kilda Supporter went on a footy trip, and said that he saw Hunter Clark racking up lines in the bathroom, he's not one to pull my leg, and was genuinely concerned about Clark from the state he was in, and has questioned the pick a lot ever since then.

This will not go well for you, lmao

He knows shit but great journalism I've been on the SEN website atleast 4500 times
He got me good

It drives me bonkers. Did Freo deserve pick 2 for Weller? No they didn’t. Did they deserve pick 6 for Brad Hill? No they didn’t but they got Brayshaw and Serong for those picks and now their midfield is setup for a decade. Unfortunately I have no doubt that we’ll give up a former pick 7 for a pick in the 20’s and be grateful for it. And we wonder why we are where we are.

Good thing they didn’t get 6 for hill then. They got 10.

If Clark wants to go to North and North want him, they will find a way.

They have a full list of players they can trade to get value, just like any club.

I doubt they'd walk away from that deal if he agreed to go unfortunately

His nose job came at a good time during the season... would've been really inconvenient for him if it happened post season.

But they won’t just trade to say they completed a trade.

If north want him and we say he is worth a top 10 pick. That’s on North to facilitate

Edmund: Hunter Clark for future second compo "likely"

I think Edmund said the future second round pick would be “involved”. Big difference in definitively saying that it is the pick that gets the deal done.

My gut feeling is Clark could be involved in a multi trade rather than a single trade.

Pick 1 and next years pick 19/20 for pick 9 and Clark?

I’d do that
100% we'd have to take that, but no way North would consider it.

It would only be possible if the first round picks being swapped were for 2023 and North were confident they'd avoid the bottom 4. Would still be tempted to take that deal, but it would have the potential to be a massive busy if they improve and we regress.

Where and why is it getting lost that

Clark is contracted and

Hill is contracted?

Why do people act like we HAVE to trade them?
Because inevitably when players request a trade they get it. And if a team offers you up for trade then it is a pretty quick way for that player to want out anyway.
There are some but very few examples of players being forced to see out there contracts if they ask to go.

Papley
Dunkley
Lobb x 2

in the last couple of years alone

Not only trade them, but where does the idea come that we need a salary dump for Hill?

With our retirements and missing out on Bing and JDG, we'd be closer to the minimum TPP requirements than we would be to exceeding the cap.

The idea that another club will get one of our contracted players cheaper if they take Hill with him is one of the more ridiculous silly season ideas I've ever seen floated.

The issue I have is at the same time we’re going after Degoey and Hannebery. Like there’s obviously a lack of senior leadership.

Apparently there has been a falling out, and our list manager is a hysterical girl who has just broken up with her boyfriend, running round pulling at their hair screaming "just make him gone from my sight ".
