Answer was that it was very likely that management and player have specific preferences and will only open talks with those clubs, which is common practice. Yep its understanderable that Bowes (a senient being) may have specific preferences about where he may want to end up, but Pick 7 is an inanimate object that has no say in anything and will only go to the place that provides the best outcome for GCS.

collingwood were 2 points away from a grand final. Or 2 minutes away from one. They’re clearly the better option

They also finished 2nd last 12 months ago….

Things can change quickly.

Tigers we’re constantly finishing 9th or 10th, they made a host of off field changes. They then won three Grand Finals.

Yeah the list needs some re-tooling. There’s an off field review underway and changes are being implemented. There’s more resources in player development. And we had tough draw in 2022, in a imbalanced fixture. Tougher than the Pies. Things aren’t that bad at St Kilda FC.

I'm not sure about that, but i will say that if we had our shit together we'd be a much more desirable club.
