Absolutely get him to the clubSo we really need to bring in some mid depth. Hugely exposed last season.
Xavier O’Halloran, not contracted for next year, pick 22 in 2018.

A great one grab specialist, can kick goals too, our new Jake Carlisle?Shierlaw as a intercept defender? A bit short but reads the play well and a great mark.
That pick 15 will have to go to the Dogs for Dunkley.Given no one has nominated us, grab GCS's P32 for Long early and work on elevating our Draft position with BL who need major points for Ashcroft and Fletcher.
28 STK: 677
32 GC: 584
46 STK: 331
Subtotal: 1,592, just above Pick 8 all together.
I'd trade all of them for P15 from Bris (1,112pts). + Potential Hill, Bytel, Clark trades can assist this strategy.
No idea how Bris get Dunkley, Ashcroft (3000pts) and Fletcher (~1,000pts) done.
Is that Psicosis? Seems an extremely weird unit.We seem to be living rent free in a lot of North Melbourne fans heads.
A quick visit to their trade thread and you'd think you were on a St Kilda list anylisis thread.
The dude that claimed that the Clark deal would be done by Friday (before trade period even starts?) seems to post more about our board that he does North.
Not a lot of positive stories to talk about I understand, but still very strange.
Unless they trade a Future 1st for DunkleyThat pick 15 will have to go to the Dogs for Dunkley.
Bulldogs will want both this years and nexts given Brisbane likely to finish high on the ladder next year as well.Unless they trade a Future 1st for Dunkley
Was pretty obvious the first year in , as an overage draftee from the VFL, he was not going to be the "Next Cyril". Terrible drafting.
Any way you cut it, they've got a mammoth trade period, need to pull points from thin air- I hope we get involved in that space.Bulldogs will want both this years and nexts given Brisbane likely to finish high on the ladder next year as well.
Brisbane would probably get something back in return (2nd rounder?)
TBH given GC's situation we need to come away with a 2nd outright or it's a fail in my book.If we want draft picks we need Long to take his offer.
Doubt he's on big money but the fact hes been offered 4 years means the Suns will at least give something.
If we can upgrade from a 3rd to a decent 2nd and get 3 top 30 picks we've done well
What about getting GC pick 32, as you say, package them up, but for Bris 1st rounder next year, then trade to North pick 9 and Bris future 1st for pick 1?Given no one has nominated us, grab GCS's P32 for Long early and work on elevating our Draft position with BL who need major points for Ashcroft and Fletcher.

By every stat he is below average so i guess he is a perfect fitAbsolutely get him to the club
Captaincy experience from under 18s, good character, tough at the contest, good runner good tackler. Been played on the wing out of position, he’s exactly the type you steal for cheapBy every stat he is below average so i guess he is a perfect fit
Zak Joneshad an horrendous season, with the initial interruption and then he just came back playing terribly. He seemed unsettled and often gave away free kicks. The other thing is his tackling was atrocious.PLAYERCARDSTART3Zak Jones

I know as a result of that he has been written off by many on here myself included, but if you look back through our good wins over the last few years he has often been a big part of it in the midfield.
Here's hoping he can have a good pre-season and really help our midfield next year. He is a point of difference because he is quick. His kicking isn't great but he can bust through packs and even this year played some good games. We are better when he is playing well in my opinion.
If he has been playing on the wing and getting the numbers he has been getting its a double no , He has had one good game for the season , next he will be bringing IPCaptaincy experience from under 18s, good character, tough at the contest, good runner good tackler. Pushed to the wing/flanks is a pure inside mid. Similar to bytel getting crap numbers pushed out of positionIf he has been playing on the wing and getting the numbers he has been getting its a double no , He has had one good game for the season , next he will be bring IP

Agreed with all of this. I think the way Jones plays lends himself to criticism because it highlights his deficiencies a little more than most. It’s an eye-catching style, good bad and otherwise. I still think we have use for his “good” and accept some of the “bad” along the way.I remember watching our Intra Club and thinking Zac Jones was the clear standout. I was pretty bullish on his year ahead. So I’ve got absolutely no doubts that his personal time off at such a crucial stage of the year impacted his season majorly. He was definitely not the same player upon his return as he was when coming out of that preseason.
I don’t think he’s a world beater or some A Grade mid, but as you point out, when he’s flying he’s a great point of difference, and isn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers.
