Same rule applies to this thread as other years, keep it on topic about the kids.
Don’t get bogged down on what other teams might do or where they will finish.

That's also where you can discuss your mock drafts or pick trades.

Wasn't a fan of Caddy taking the mark away from Elliot in the last quarter

Elliot hadn't kicked one yet and Caddy could've done the team thing and walked away but almost demanded it was his mark and the umpire obliged.

Based on champs performances has the gap between Reid and others closed a fair bit?

Is Colby in top 5 now? Had a great champs.
It seems that way. Reid will go 1 but there seems to be a lot of support for Walter, Curtin, Watson, Mckercher, Caddy not being too far off. At a pick as early as ours, you just take best available. If that’s another gun midfielder so be it, even if they are likely to be target #1 for the Tassie side. On what I saw I’d be happy with any of those named as guys who should improve the list a lot

Colby has had a massive tournament. He'd be top 3 IMO based on performances.

Reid and Walter a step ahead of the comp as the best small and tall.

Colby not far off though.

Seen enough. Watson at pick 4. He has quick hands like Daicos/JHF/Wardlaw, excellent balance/agility/pace and the goal smarts that we need.
Got a bit of campaigner about him too. Love that he’s got that I always have to prove myself mentality because he’s a short a$$. Pretty sure he wants to play for us too.

Gee the Allies midfield was impressive today. Went out to the game.

Wouldn't be unhappy with Colby he is a very good footballer. Sanders impressive too very smooth mover. Jake Rogers absolute class Suns got a steal there. Cleary who the Swans get is pretty much ready made. And little no. 2 Thomas very handy too.

Harley Reid an interesting one. Not as natural a footballer as a lot of the topline players out there when in the centre square today. Certainly wasnt a clearance machine. A couple of quick handballs but didn't sniff the ball out like a number of the Allies mids.

He was fixated upon wrestling when up fwd. Didn't really show any fwd craft other than winning a couple of wrestles which opened up chances to mark which he didn't or gather a loose ball and run into goal which he stuffed up losing control of a regulation bounce. I did miss half the 1st Q so he may have had more chances.

Couple of really good burst runs and carry plays that showed his capabilities. Tried to kick the suitcase off the ball most times. Interesting day for him.
