Fixture 2023 fixture

I think Collingwood and Gold Coast could easily finish top 4 or bottom 4. How "difficult" our fixture turns out to be probably depends on whether one or both of these clubs are in contention.

Eventually, Gold Coast will be good and we'll be ruing the fact that we're doubled up against them.

I would be surprised if you were not able to get some tickets in two days' time.
Public ticket sales from 4.30pm (AEST)/ 5.30pm (AEDT) via Ticketek
Just make sure you set up a Ticketek account beforehand if you don't already have one
......

Below is part of a Lions members email only sent on Friday
Tickets go on-sale Monday 12th December via Ticketek. AFL and Club access members have access to a priority redemption period from 11:30AM - 3:30PM (AEST) / 12:30PM - 4:30PM (AEDT) before tickets go on sale to the general public at 4:30PM (AEST) / 5:30PM (AEDT).
Got my tickets thanks for the heads up re timing of GA sales :thumbsu:

It would be nice to have another Queensland team in the 8
Just not sure the Suns showed enough last year to make that jump
Usually, 2/3 teams in the 8 find a way to miss out the next year. Just better not be the Lions

I can't see the Suns finishing ahead of Cats, Demons, Swans, Pies, Lions, Tigers
Maybe they are a chance to take Dogs & Dockers spot but even that i don't see happening
Then you have Blues and Port. Both those teams i think will improve. Saints, well who knows what they will do

If the Suns make the 8 it will be a huge year for them

If you’re a top 6 team, you have to play at least two other top 6 teams twice.

A strong Gold Coast is little different to a strong Geelong, or Richmond, or West Coast.

Just much less travel.

You’re only saying that because you haven’t seen peak Gold Coast yet.

When the suns are flying, Nerang will be absolutely pumping. It will be the most physically intimidating fixture in football and the game will be pretty tough too.

Flag Suns are going to be scary. I’d rather travel to China every year than face an excited, overconfident, methed up Gold Coast crowd.

I am from Nerang, & haven't taken meth for days, but I'd jump off the wagon if the suns made the GF.

I ain't a WB fan though

You can see how I came to this conclusion though. Simple people don't like to read, only look at pictures ;)

Edit: BRAB tell him I'm going ok considering where I come from.

Edit pt2: SC fish A little surprised you even had to think about who to go for. C'mon, we've been Hawthorn 2.0 for at least four years now.

Imagine an all QLD grand final 🤯
Unfortunately I can ... and the same kind of narrative umpiring we faced in Q-Clash One.

On one hand there is the normal beat them outside the margin of umpiring which is pretty much standard fare for us in a GF on the other hand the Swans fans are still not over the way the Bulldogs farce played out in 2016.

Maybe let GCS have the Port 2004 role after another casual threepeat ... yes that sounds fair ;)

The trouble is the local team are the Barkeroos, who wear blue and white with a kangaroo on the front. I'll get run out of town if people find out I'm supporting the Lions

So technically a home game for the Lions in an area that is saturated with second stage Kangaroos ... awesome

I think it's been reversed and it's actually an away game for us now.
It’s neither.

It’s a new themed round, where it’s neutral for every team.

Except of course the two teams playing on their home deck.

You watch “Gather Round” arrive in QLD and Brisbane get shipped off for a game in Cairns in 2025.

Spoilers for the 2023 season ahead.

I ran the season through an AI algorithm and received the following results. For perspective, this model predicted the last 10 grand final results so it is extremely accurate.

I can see us losing no more than 2 games.

Any AI algorithm that has Richmond occupying 7th is clearly not programmed correctly.
Richmond 9th, that's the natural algorithm.

Yes of course, but I was referring to the fact that we appeared on the right of the "v".

Except it looks like I was wrong anyway and we are on the left hand side after all. So yes we are the "home" team in roo territory 🤦

The great thing is that getting run out of Mt Barker is only a five minute effort, so you can turn around and run back in again.

To be fair, nearly every other squiggle I've seen has us finishing on the boundary of the eight with around 13 wins.

Hopefully yours is more accurate.
