6 games for me are dangerous with three of those very dangerous. 17 wins and 6 losses should see us top 4.
Pies playing away is not a danger game ... it is a big psychological gap to get from MCG to Docklands!

Btw to the Pies fans know where Docklands is better than the Tiger mob?

It would be a shame to play this Rd 23 game at docklands. It would certainly draw a larger crowd that the two other proposed games at the MCG that weekend (Tigers v North and Demons v Hawks). If the AFL had some sense they would play this game at the MCG, with both teams likely in the top 4, it has the possibility of drawing a 70,000+ crowd.

One MCG game stinks. Top four interstate teams should get more games at the MCG. Hell, top eight should.

Knowing a ground does give one team an advantage so all interstate teams in finals at the MCG are disadvantaged.

The wind patterns, difference in surface, sun etc. all impact. And yes, the ground size and shape. So critical when every ground is different.

The AFL suck.

We have two this year. We okay Hawthorn round 13 at the MCG.

Of the current top four in the just released fixture -

Port do not get a MCG game

We get one

Pies get rounds 18, 20 21 22 and 24

Melbourne get 18 19 20 21 and 23.

But sure, it's a national game and we should be grateful for our one game plus the two early ones.
ABSOLUTELY BLOODY NOT.

The AFL has locked in Friday night's round 23 match between Collingwood and Brisbane at Marvel, saying it hoped to see a packed house between the two premiership fancies.

Saturday in round 19 shapes as an absolute ripper, with Brisbane hosting Geelong in the twilight timeslot,

So Pies and Dee's basically head in to the finals having played the majority of their last rounds at the MCG. Totally fair!

That sucks balls. I can’t get to twilight games.

On a personal level, hate the twilight and early games, but on another level, surely Brisbane has worked hard enough for more prime time recognition?

That’s why we need to lock in top 2 if possible,

Hopefully next year they just announce the full fixture. Going to be on a plane for the Richmond game. Thought I'd be safe on a Thursday night
Good luck with that.

I think they will stick with this format as it allows them to schedule the bigger games for the back end of the year, in prime slots with a bit more surety.
