What does that trade value Burgess at?

Depends on how you look at it

Purely on what the picks are currently worth => pick 43

Though if we were to take those picks to the draft they'll blow out from 23 & 26 to about 31 & 34 (maybe even 1 or 2 places higher) => steak knives

Yeah it seems too much, and yet 23 and 26 for 14 and Burgess seems like a great deal.

My point is and has been all along that some posters set a very low bar. We moved up in the draft and recruited a depth player. Great. It’s a move in the right direction but it’s hardly a coup.

On the other hand we have (so far) struck out on targets that could make a difference.

Still not a bad deal .....having pick #14 gets us in front of NORTH with their trio of picks #15, #17, and #18 .....it's never good being after a club has that grouping of picks.

Phil Davis speaks very well, and has a great depth of knowledge .....will have a job in the media OR as a player manager in short time .....so much better than JJ ...but JJ is safe as long as Andy Mahr is still in the business
