Mod notice after Mr Bob did a lot of annoying work in moving days of posts out of here. As we are heading into offseason, this thread is for 2023 list management only. Getting upset on previous trades can be taken to the vent thread. Lets keep this thread on track in the part of the year it's actually relevant

Those soft tissue injuries killed us from 2012. McPharlin especially in 2015, I think it was, when he missed out on finals.
Yep that is true. Luke McPharlin played one finals series in that whole 2012-15 run. that one year he played finals, was the year we made the grand final in 2013.

I am suprised with Brisbane being the 4th oldest.

I remember in 2019 when they made finals, they had one of the younger squads. Shows you that keeping the same squad for 4-5 years and trading in experienced players boosts up the age.

That was when they had a really young squad but only about 25 guys played all year and all of those were old boys, then they have been trading away their picks to plug gaps in their list.

Brisbane are doing the right thing trying to stretch the stride out to get as far as they can with this list but they've probably only got this window anytime soon because of it.

The top 4 to 5 teams this year in this list is having age 25.5 to 26.5 . When will we reach that age ? 2025? And game experience same?

Mind you, how long have Geelong been at the top of these sorts of lists...

He is saying Sean Darcy is going to extend at Freo and the clubs looking for a ruckman will have to choose from the rest

But what does these two sentences mean?

Briggs could be Mummy 2.0. Bryan flying the VFL.

Suggesting GWS ruck Kieran Briggs could be a big bull ruck like Mumford. Nick Bryan is an essendon ruckman in the VFL.

He's trying to sell rucks to clubs that need one.

What the frick is Ralph saying here? It's barely coherent.

It does look more and more like Darcy is staying, but I wouldnt say "..despite Luke Jacksons influence"

Wouldnt Jacksons development feel like a bonus?
Another reason to commit.
This is a ruck duo thats greater than the sum of its parts!
They are not in competition with each other.
Both their careers will benefit.
A marriage made in heaven!

Yokai!
