It is either him or Taranto for the F3 spot.

Oliver has had a sub 70 score in the first 5 rounds the last 2 years and 4 out of 5 last years he has lost 50k+ on his starting price. The other year the shortened and compromised 2020 he still dropped 30k, based on that definitely a player you should get a bit cheaper at some stage.

Not a must start by any stretch.

Laird on the other hand only dropped 9k from his start price last year and has gone 35 games since he dropped below 90 and only 3 games below 100 in that time. I would take Laird over Oliver if choosing between the 2 and i wouldn't take both as it compromises elsewhere.

First 5 rounds is an interesting sample. The only way you will trade Oliver in then even @ $630k is sideways trading a premo.

He's 25.

Reasonable odds he goes forward, not backwards
Piggy has that look players in some sports get where they look like they are running above the ground.

Ryan Giggs was one, or Christian Cullen if you know rugby. They just glide around effortlessly.

Not Zerrett ..... Parish
Because not a guarantee and SC coaches see his one way play differently to others. Doesn't tackle, goes forward only and doesn't defend well. Great offensive player in the wrong team at the moment. Do not consider. Steer clear

Looks like he's considerably changed his hunger and desire this year, looks eager and running defensively also.

I can't go past the 124 averaged after the switch in Round 6 2021, and the 8 week span last year averaging 125 before he got injured on 51.

Has the scope and opportunity, soft draw, Essendon will be better, to go 120+ imo

Because Zac MErret has history of starting slowly and dropping in price
And with the Magic Number so high this year @ 5,500 .....the SP's are going to drop dramatically in price with one poor game

Looking at players that start seasons strongly is :whitecheck:

Shhh. People around these parts don't like him much and I think it's better left that way

Oliver also spent a bit of time at half back in the practice game. Surely they won't do that in an actual game but still it's a bit worrying that they want to rotate a lot of guys through the middle. He's already super expensive so just a small decrease in time on ground or mid time would be enough to make him not worth starting with

Doesnt mean you bring him in r5, if he tanks his price early he is not going back to 700k in r6 and r7 when upgrade season is starting. Last year he was an early upgrade for many.

Yeah but you could say that about any premo, any of them could be an upgrade.

Start with Oliver & Laird, don’t fall behind IMO.

Piggy has Essendon round 5 at the Adelaide Oval. He's going to be $800k after that game.

Is there anyone that ISN'T picking Hopper? I found it suited my structure better to run with Tom Green at M6. Gives me a 13 keeper side + Yeo. I've barely seen a team without him... Is it suicide to swim against the tide on this one? It's purely structural reasons rather than thinking it's a good or bad selection.
