Universal Love 2023 Port Board Buddy Draft

Welcome to the 2023 Port Board Buddy Draft thread which I have taken over from Ant Bear who has done a superb job of organising this over the past several years.

For those who haven't participated before, each poster will draft a player from Port's list who will then be their nominated Buddy for season 2023. You will be responsible for hyping that player the moment they do anything remotely good or alternatively defending that player to the death no matter how bad they play. For example:

Schulzenfest:

Jed McEntee might have only had two possessions today but if you didn't notice his amazing defensive pressure then I don't know what to tell you.

You will be entitled to take all credit if your Buddy has a good game, kicks a bag of goals, wins the Brownlow, etc.

This year we will not be doing a random allocation so each player will only be allocated one Buddy - the poster who drafts them. The draft order will be randomised and each poster will be assigned a small window in which to make their selection before the next selection is allowed to be taken (you may still make your selection if your time has expired but you would have effectively slipped down the draft order).

Spots are limited to just 43 so reply to this thread if you want in and once we have 43 we'll kick things off ...
