Most importantly how have cunners and Martinlooked
Martin looks like he shouldn't play inside a stoppage, but is otherwise trying to cover ground and distribute. Looks well short of a gallop... almost looks like his calves are taped to his toes in how he runs.

Cuningham has limited explosiveness, but is otherwise mobile and seeking to compete. I think he's still just getting confidence back in his body, which I would now argue is almost overbuilt, but he might just lose a bit of water weight as he gets the running in.

Marchbank - who you should be asking about as a legitimate selection this week - is looking good enough to come in if required. Binns is powering along, and Ed is playing the other wing with Lewis and Martin sort of rotating through for them.

Cuningham looking the goods, but it's all about how he plays out the game and how he recovers this week. I wouldn't pick him at this stage.

Martin is someone who needs to spend time conditioning his legs... clearly doesn't need further upperbody strength to provide a sound contest, so just ensure that he's got a little more stability in the lower legs and around the knee and hips so he's keeping balance without straining the same major muscles.

That he hasn't done that already is probably more of an indication of his willingness to work on it than anyone else.

One point hand at half time. Great quarter by us.

Binns has been dominant. Honestly, if they’re not picking him next week then… I don’t know anymore.

Martin and Cuners really got into the game that quarter and got us back in the game.

Cowan showing something off half back.

Marchbank has been the general, moreso than Plow.

I don’t want to get too excited by Marchy and Cuners, but both are showing the skills that made them too 22 players.

I thought our midfield let us down at the start of the game and just equalised by HT. Marchy, Crocker, Lieu, Martin in the 2nd and Dom for me have been standing out with their play and positioning. Stand out play was dom receiving from the kick out and, instead of bombing long, he looked to get Plowman involved but once that handball wasn’t there he elected to kick sharply to open the play. The whole team proceeded to feed off that and followed through. It’s exactly what playing freely looks like. Handball chains that lead to opening up gaps and finding easier solutions to goal. Teamwork makes the dream work

You liked what Cottrell and Fisher were doing? Or you're more focused on one shanked kick from O'Brien...
I am focused on the long long body of evidence LOB has put together that has shown he never has been and never will be afl standard. Cotts played well in 2 of his 4 games before last night. And was better than lob all year last year. Fisher in his career has at least shown signs of being an afl standard player for long chunks.

LOb never has.

I hate it as much as the next person.
He can do some wonderful kicks inside 50 but if his ‘elite kicking’ is his best attribute he wont be making it. Body/build doesn’t help him at afl level either. I wish he came good

9 touches incl 4 turnovers

O Brien is so far away from being an AFL player it's not funny. At least Cottrell applies some pressure

If Marchy gets through this game and plays to a decent level he could well play 1’s next week. We just can’t go on with JSOS as the third tall, we need the flexibility of releasing either Gov or Kemp for this role.

Cuners and Martin playing, pinch me. These guys can make a real difference to our awful forward line - simply they are just better than the other options
Would be great!.....Voss needs a leg up!........not that it will help a lot, team seems a bit out of whack now....signs early in season of a limited team output -now its obvious.....(overrated)Walsh last season carrying team again now

Overall tho we are much better.........I think it can work anyway

Thats all......a hard working average team....…👍

LOB had his best year last year, and he still wasn’t very good.

Haven’t watched any yet, Marchy good to go for next week?

Sounds like Binns would be a nice inclusion.

Jack Martin in?

Assuming JSOS out, we could easily go Binns, Martin and Marchy in, with LOB, JSOS and Gov out.
