Motlop stats look good, although would have liked him to register a tackle.

He is a twig. But he has talent and effort and a footy brain. Quite a lot to work with. How was O”Keefe? His stats look impressive, do we think he could step up into the seniors, surely a better option than Young if TDK or Pitto don’t get up next week?
whatever the coach, various other club officials and match committee think he needs to do...........Not sure what more Binns needs to do to get a AFL game will probably win the reserves b&f

Holding him back so he wins next years rising star. Not sure what more Binns needs to do to get a AFL game will probably win the reserves b&f
and now kemp is a solid best 22 - wonder how that happened? nothing to do with playing him when he was ready and not before of course..........I would have liked to see Carrol get a few of Ed Curnow's games. Last year we were still picking Plowman over Kemp.
but sack the coach and burn the club to the ground if a random fan thinks he should be played earlier.........Yeap, wait to players are ready, stronger chance of not failing once elevated

That's what some were saying, but his biggest actual knock is his peak speed. Hopefully as he continues to lose the puppy fat and focuses on sprint technique and build, he'll gain a yard or two.And to think this was the biggest knock on him in the draft process. I think we've got a special player on our hands.
I would argue you've thrown in 3 names that were completely mismanaged in two different ways: Kemp was shoehorned into his worst feasible position on the ground, while Dow and O'Brien were not physically managed properly multiple times in their careers and their tactical development was sidelined in favour of short term results, even under Bolton.I know lots of people are banging on about him getting a game at AFL level, but I don't mind the slow approach with him. As he is fairly slight. Needs to thicken up and get stronger for the 1sts. No rush.
Look at how Kemp has come on after a fair period in he 2nds.
Compare that to how guys like LOB and Dow turned out after getting gidted games early.
Would be more like 73 kgs at this point, but he's not particularly tall.Binns weighs literally 68 kilograms. He is a kid, let him play in the 2s and learn the game. Why the rush to bring him in?
Showed he was probably worth the 3rd year last year, but he's a much better forward than defender... we'll have to dump the 'captain' and put Akuei there next year.Akuie has been dropped from my wont make it list
Yeh - as an old Coburg supporter it's sad to see what's become of this club.
Not much opposition and even the ground looks sad with great clumps of weeds on the outer.
Coburg are barely a football team.
You can see the odd talented player out there but they're tactically incohesive and largely unfit, it's clear they have almost no money beyond making football and utilities payments... they're being run into the ground.Almost painful to see. Coburg was my VFA team way back when before it all got silly.
Seemed pretty happy living with More and Durdin.Unless they know Carrol is off back West next year ???

Not to mention parking at the shops!I'm not a fan of Durdin. That lack of mobility is a big issue. Turning circle like the Queen Mary. If he's playing AFL we're in serious injury strife.
And early this year.I would have liked to see Carrol get a few of Ed Curnow's games. Last year we were still picking Plowman over Kemp.

Not really. Plow has played one game for the season when he was a travelling emergency in Adelaide when Mitch Mcgovern pulled out 15 minutes before the game. In actuality the Plow hasnt been selected in our starting 22 all year. And early this year.
Scary, scary man..Trevor price would be shaking his head in sorrow.
And would not even have thought twice about it.Scary, scary man..
Knocked me senseless many years ago at Brunswick Oval.
Still in “protocols”?Scary, scary man..

The author is literally a journalist intern. Uni level quick writes!A bit odd that Binns isn't mentioned amongst our 'best' after 32 disposals and a masterclass of elite kicking in windy conditions?
Carroll played well, but his disposal is worse than Dow's and miles away from Binns standard.
