Fyfe only speaking to Freo. Won't talk to any other club.

Thank God. Cooked and would take the spot of a young player.

He can stay where he is.

Nat Fyfe: Don’t worry fellas, I’ve already told my manager and a few other list managers, “don’t bother calling, I’m only talking to Freo”.

Fremantle (visibly sweating): Oh come on now Nat, let’s not be hasty, there’s a whole wide world of opportunities out there haha.

As long as they’re not mids that are incapable of playing other positions. No use having a dozen Brad Crouch’s on the list.

Ross Lyon mids have to be able to spread. He basically pushed Ball out because he was too inside and couldn't get to contests quick enough.

Wouldn't stress on Keeler, apparently has a bigger ceiling than Mattaes and coaches putting in a mountain of work with him to speed up that process.

You have to account for hyperbole. We've had plenty of young hype players. You really need to see them play seniors to have any idea of what they might be.

I agree, just passing on what has been floating around

Ned Moyle ..... yeah no thanks

5 Disposals 0 Marks against us ..... had a few hit outs and a few tackles but the Billy Longer vibes were quite marked

Rather go to the draft and get the no 1 or 2 rated Ruck who has shown ability to go forward

Mitchell Edwards a 205cm Ruck from WA and is a Freo NGA ...... would be around pick 18 ..... would piss Freo off as well

Just as pure midfield depth who could come out for a kid if they come good. If you chase someone with a big contract and high profile you push kids out. That's a best of both worlds option to me. He was better than Brad a lot of the time. People said that Tom Mitchell wouldn't get a game in our side last year. He's made Collingwood a much better side. Very similar types, inside extractor with a bit less hurt factor than some of the best mids.

Adelaide obviously want to develop kids and leave him out but his career is being very badly managed. His manager should have got him out last year. Even when he did get in last year he never got less than 25 touches.

I just don’t rate M.Crouch. Even as a depth, break glass in emergency type.

He was a B&F winner, their best player in their 2017 finals series and won the Age player of the year. Beat Dane Swan's record for the most disposals in a season. I think people don't rate him because they can't work out why he'd be playing SANFL if he wasn't shit. 2021 was written off with an injury but the Crows seem to want to develop kids so leave him out. He won his B&F in his third year, he's still only 27.

I get that stats aren't everything but the way Collingwood use Mitchell where they get him to win first use and get it to the outside for others is ideal for those types. I thought Matt Crouch was the better Crouch back when the Crows were flying and Brad has been a gun. He still has 5 good years and would cost nothing except a meagre wage.

You mount a compelling argument Gringo. I'm sold.

If the Crows wanted to keep him and we weren't guaranteeing games or big money, why on earth would he move?

These is talk on SEN just now about some story somewhere about the Pies being into Ben King.

I wouldn’t entertain someone like Matt Crouch

We have 3 young mids currently playing as forwards that would love the opportunity for more midfield minutes if we were to pick up a couple of injuries.

Don’t have the cap space, draft capital or an identical twin brother. Not happening
Their cap is getting better with Grundy mostly off the books and having a little of Mitchells paid for.

A back ended contract would work.

Not having Max means nothing, he'd be back in melb playing for the biggest club in front of the biggest crowds.

Only concern is the draft capital but I'm sure 2 first and a young promising player could get it done.

Not saying it'll happen but to say it won't happen especially with how things are done these days is a silly call.

Still paying half of grundies wage. But what can they offer that we can’t. Do you think he would rather play in front of big crowds or play with his brother. Both teams look on the way up. Could almost argue we have better kids coming through.

If he was to come to the saints he'd be living in Max's shadow, goes to Collingwood and he'd be the main man.

I love the romance of footy as much as anyone but playing with Max would probably be at the bottom of Bens priorities.

He's playing SANFL and been shown no love under Nicks. They told him he won't get another contract so pretty much their Dunstan. He's free agent so he can walk out as soon as the season ends. He'll go somewhere and be another Jarred Lyons and people will act like it came out of nowhere. He's way too good to be on the scrap heap. It's one of those weird ones where it almost looks too good to be true. Gone from star to the bin after their peak in 2017.

If I was Ross Lyon I'd be all over him. He'll have a bit to prove.

That's why you would. He's obviously happy to just slug along being a break glass option. Having a ready to go 30+ possession a week mid is what you have when you are a serious finals side. If a kid needs games push him out to Sandy. If Steele or Crouch go down you get a seamless transition. It really depends on where we finish at the end of the year. If we scrape into finals we probably keep topping up with high end youth and playing them. If we are 5% off the top teams you'd probably want to find a few players who can be intstant impact.

I think Collingwod has a much smaller window, most of their best players areinI their career twilights.

Putting Collingwood in your headline gets you clicks. I’d say it’s as simple as that.
