Parish I can get behind
He is. Agreed that the chances of him leaving have lowered now Essendon are playing good footy and have a good coach. Is he a restricted FA? Essendon would be crazy to let him go and while they are playing well I doubt he asks to leave. Realistically sides needed to go after him while he was still developing and Essendon were s**t.
No current season stats available
oh god, the thought of seeing buck toothed Harmes in the side is not significantly pleasing. dude reminds me of Beaker from the muppetsThere’s a constant obsession with clubs playing youth. Geelong have bucked that trend. The top teams are now playing a very experienced starting midfield group with their youth playing a more supporting role.
Harmes is at a good age as long as we think he’s best 22. I’d take him even know he looks like some newly discovered amphibian that’s just crawled out of the Mariana Trench.

I’d argue another gorilla back means Wilkie and Battle can attack the air more.Genuine question
What would we do with another tall defender?
Do we play 4 or trade one we have.
I think the balance of talls and smalls we have at the moment is good
Can’t imagine landing Parish without losing GreshamIs he a restricted FA? Essendon would be crazy to let him go and while they are playing well I doubt he asks to leave. Realistically sides needed to go after him while he was still developing and Essendon were s**t.
Probably means Battle and Howard are fighting for one spotGenuine question

Yes, just like Degoey laat year, its going to be unlikely he actually goesIs he a restricted FA? Essendon would be crazy to let him go and while they are playing well I doubt he asks to leave. Realistically sides needed to go after him while he was still developing and Essendon were s**t.

Apparently they are struggling to meet the demands of both Redman and Parish. Both are being talked about as requesting 750 each if not more.Is he a restricted FA? Would cost a half decent draft pick though. That’s why I’m keen on FAs.I know his form has stagnated a little but I'd still be chasing Bergman from Port
He's a quality runner, can play half back, half forward or wing, a good size and wouldn't have to sell the farm to get him
A mid 2nd rounder maybe?Would cost a half decent draft pick though. That’s why I’m keen on FAs.
Unless Sam Taylor suddenly becomes available, our picks and salary cap would be better spent improving other areas of the list.Probably means Battle and Howard are fighting for one spot
Yea I reckon that’s his value.A mid 2nd rounder maybe?
And he's only 21
I'm keen to find a good FA but there aren't too many available and very gettable
In the change rooms after a win, instead of getting handed a gatorade he gets a bushel of carrots instead to gnaw on in the corner.Always reminded me of Mullet from “Snatch”:
“You been using dogsh!t for toothpaste again ?”

I agree though it’s unlikely Parish leaves. It would need to be a deliberate salary dump to let him walk like Grundy and to a lesser degree Acres at Freo.
I completely agree with the majority saying we need to focus on the draft. That doesn’t mean we can’t also hit FA that doesn’t cost draft capital.
This statement aligns with the rambling from Matt Rendell and SOS on trade radio (4 Oct 22) 2 weeks prior to Ratts sacking. We want 1 or 2 genuine best 22 talls this off season.
Key back (weekend showed how we could use that)
Forward/ruck - another obvious one.
I've got no issue with trading any picks for young players 22 and under. I don't see it any differently to going to the draft. Just means they will impact a little earlier.Yea I reckon that’s his value.
If it were up to me I’d have a no trade firsts or seconds policy. Obviously there are exceptions ie King, Rozee types.
He seems like a very average type player to me. His ceiling is a dependable role player. I don’t see the Wood comparisons, if that’s the type you are describing him as?
The question is how? What player could we afford to part with that would bring in a worthy pick?Apparently and I understand things change.
But the boss is genuinely asking for more picks at the draft.
So if Gubby/ Sos can land him another good tall.
I could see us loading up at the draft.
I hope not, I think he's one player that can take us to another level if he really gets going.
