I hope he stays the narrative that he‘s rubbish is ridiculous Imo. He’s disappointing for a top 3 pick but he’s a quality player who’s had a shocking run in recent times with injury. Jack newnes had a massive fall, he went from a fixture and being talked about as a future captain to bye in a hurry.Nobody wants Billings contract?
If so i cannot recall a player in my lifetime for the saints to have fallen out of favour to such a degree.

Herald sun article from beforeApparently he is meeting with Sydney and other clubs.
We wanted to move him on but we decided to keep himOK what does that even mean?
Contract turnaround?
Billings to me just feels like such a nothing vanilla player.
If were going to keep him I wouldn't be opposed to trying him on half back - would he be better if the ball came to him rather than he had to find it? His clean disposal could be of use there.
Back to hoping he fulfils his potential I guessNot a bad result. We were going to get very little for him if he chose to go to North.
It still give us hope that he will be a big success during the next 3-4 years with the club. Important being a top ten pick selection. Not a bad result. We were going to get very little for him if he chose to go to North.
100% thisRe what Stav is saying.
Trading Billings Clark, Douglas etc won’t make as much of a difference next year as potentially getting in picks who can make an impact in the next 5.
Realistically out of the lists that are bandied only Howard is someone that we would realistically miss.
Gotta take the risk
I hope soAnd for what it’s worth.
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Clark says he wants to go to North.
They still very much like him
New deal reported in the last hour mateI hope so
Henry's "trending upward" is a very small sample size. He had 15 disposals against the Hawks in his last game. It's hardly consistent form. The issue is comparing those 2 is that Henry is younger and trending upwards.
Clark is older, and trending downwards.
Recency bias, whether you like it or not is big determinant when it comes to the trade period.

There's definitely something about him. Incredible hands. Has composure and evasiveness. Kicking ranges from excellent to lazy / almost missing his boot. Tackling has improved but still misses the odd howler. But ultimately he needs to get his running to an AFL standard or all the positives are moot.Back to hoping he fulfils his potential I guess
Who is our full back if Dougie goes?GC is keen on Dougal Howard.
I’m sure we could add some junk picks and trade for pick 4.
I just want to see us attempt to get #4
$500k a year for 2 for a player dogged by injury and has never reached any heights.Nobody wants Billings contract?

It’s the same deficiencies since 2020.There's definitely something about him. Incredible hands. Has composure and evasiveness. Kicking ranges from excellent to lazy / almost missing his boot. Statistically he's our best centre bounce clearance winner when he's in there (13% of CBAs). AFL average for mids is about 12%. Owens 12%, Crouch, Steele and Ross all 10-11%. Gresh 9%. Excluding Sinclair (19%) from the discussion as he gets a lot of centre clearances peeling off half back. So he can definitely hold his own in there and passes the eye test.
Incidentally, #1 in the comp this year was... Paddy Dow. 24 centre clearances from 120 CBAs (20%). Pity he doesn't look where he's kicking it to.
I like Ginnivan, always have but he isn't moving.I know this is probably bullshit but I'd take him in a second. He's got some Hayden Ballantyne / Stephen Milne ability to get under the skin of the opposition.
Sharing this as its bullshit. But I hope sanders is in the open draft…
And that they probably get gifted late firsts early seconds and that’s probably Hunter Clark’s price range
Tried that with Richo, he leaked goals and lost to many 1 on 1s and kicked down the line instead of the 45 because he didn't want to make a mistake.Billings to me just feels like such a nothing vanilla player.

HallucinagenicMy Christmas wish:
North take Pick 12, Hunter and Howard for pick 3?
Am I dreaming......
