It's not in the club's best interests to wait another year, I hope we throw everything at him to get it done. Aggressive trading is how Richmond and Melbourne won their premierships.Well gee that didnt last long

Your 2nd paragraph is the push to head to WA. He has been in touch with Freo players and his partner has been in touch with family back in WA. This is still very much open.Hard to know for sure – during the 2022 offseason and early last year, it was all about how he was going to Port Adelaide, before he ended up signing a four-year deal.
Every chance that having a kid has made him re-prioritise and want to get back to WA, but the club has always been pretty good with giving him time off to go home when needed.
There's been plenty of conflicting rumours – I really don't know for sure what he's going to do, but the prevailing view seems to be that he'll stick around for now, while not ruling out a move home in future.
But hey, at least you guys have some other targets and are not in a perpetual holding pattern like we are lol.

Melbourne is currently in extreme damage control. I'd take whatever is coming out of the club and players manages associated with players from the club with more than a grain of salt currently.Well gee that didnt last long

This is all of us waiting for some news regarding Pickett and Bolton.
A first for Baker would be criminal. Two firsts for Bolton is bad, but given his contract and they will pay salary I can swallow it.They’re not getting a first for Baker. If he nominates us they’ll get a second.
In the olden days. In 2024 it's like

Well.. I'm 40 now... so I guess I'm old?

No that would mean Pickett would end up at WCFox footy article saying Melbourne interested in]Jake waterman]. That could convince Melbourne to trade Pickett, like they did with May when hogan was up last time.
Eagles would probably be very happy with a pick 10 for waterman I would think.

No reason for them to go through us when he’s happy with either WA team
Pick 10, who could be a bust, or a 40 goal a year 23 year old small forward?I think the eagles would prefer pick 10 though.
Player has to want in, if Freo will provide the currency to move him then we get the player, they get the cash.
Why would it? That's not how this stuff works, it would be trading for Waterman with the currency from PickettNo that would mean Pickett would end up at WC

You just gotta imagine the worst case scenario and you'll be less dissapointed come on now.Why would it? That's not how this stuff works, it would be trading for Waterman with the currency from Pickett
He's coming to Freo if he leaves, its the leaving part that's uncertainYou just gotta imagine the worst case scenario and you'll be less dissapointed come on now.
But seriously, if WC are interested in Kozzie and he did really want to just get home, it would be easier for all parties if they did a straight swap.
Cannot see Waterman going to the Dees. I’m very confident he will sign with WCE…only move he will make is with Geelong who also expressed interest with Oscar Allen.Fox footy article saying Melbourne interested in]Jake waterman].
