Very little chance that the two things are related.Well this TDK thing is looking like a disaster.
If we bring in aleer and TDK but loose nas and windy. We go backwards. I reckon windy has future captain writen all over him. I hope sos knows what he is doingIt can not be understated how significant this offseason is for the future of the club the next 5 years.

especially when we're doing pretty well developing our own talent, why go throwing big money at GOPs just to prove you can land something, it's a joke. The ruck is NOT an area we're desperate for, neither is a third tall defender (we need a full back), we need a second forward pocket to accompany higgins more than we need another ruckman right now. Fml, so stupidGotta disagree here.
There was always talk that this idea of 1.7m being bandied about for TDK and a possible 2m for Rowell was always going go get managers thinking there was plenty of money to be earned for their clients.
Add on Nas, and you have a situation where the 'warchest' wasn't as big as we would have hoped or claimed.
Let's be absolutely honest. If you knew that your place of employment was spending an absolute shit load of money on someone they were bringing in. Why wouldnt you want a bit more of the pie? And Windys year has been good for him. He's continued to improve and has still shown he is a very good run with player.
Of course clubs were going to through with offers. My hope would have been that we could get close. But it doesn't seem that way.
With all of us.Wait until NAS leaves, things will revert to normal real quick![]()

There was never an offer presented to Rowell so let's not pretend that would have impacted anything.Gotta disagree here.

I don’t know, the whole TDK thing stinks. SOS has a hard-on for bending over his old club. I can’t help but feel the TDK and Aleer whispers have caused angst amongst the playing group. To each their own, but I wouldn’t be judging sos until something concrete actually happens…

There is overpay and then there is extreme. And imo 1.7 for TDK is extreme. I digress though. It isnt about earning as much as TDK. Its the perception that player managers would be wanting more of the pie. And if player and manager believe they are being short-changed then it does become an issue. And what is made worse is that whilst he is having a career best year so far in terms of numbers, the reporting seems to convey the thought that we haven't valued him as much as he would like.Everyone is aware we have to overpay Free Agents. Thats a league wide issue. But I doubt Windy's management is thinking Windy deserves more due to TDK's contract.

In all honesty, what would the club do if Marshall has major injury problems in the next couple of years? He’s been hindered by a foot problem for most of the year, and it’s extremely doubtful he’ll be around when we start playing finals.I don’t know, the whole TDK thing stinks. There isnt anything the club can do once the media and certain management groups start using our extra salary cap to boost deals for their clients. Its more the fact that we as a club have been happy to let the media run with this idea of a massive warchest. Rightly or wrongly that will get managers talking.

Yes, but he’s not a star. He’s a good player making his way. Unfortunately, he also needs to be realistic. He had a pretty ordinary year last year, and although there’s been lots of improvement this season he’s nowhere near the class of NAS right now and his contract needs to reflect where he is.
