Love the back and forth on Nas and want to be a believer but if he is going to sign a new contract with saints why wait THIS LONG.if he is leaving the no answer makes sense.

Every week he stays unsigned to saints is a bad omen. Why wait to the absolute end of season to sign unless you’re already decided you’re leaving.
Possibly he really hadn't made his mind up. It has been floated that he may have agreed to a 2 year deal. This could have given Nas the opportunity too see if we were making the progress he wanted. To the comitt to a longer contract. Or give him the chance to head back to S.A. after the 2 years. This would have allowed both S.A clubs to gain the trading capital needed to bring him home.

Or maybe he just misses home and wants to go back. Whatever it is, It is his decision. We may not like it but let's respect it and Wish Nas all the best!

TDK beat Goldstein in their last match 29 hit outs to 20.

Tonight:
Goldstein 41, Marshall 29.

Peter Wright with 11, for what it's worth.

I'll say it again - Marshall is the most overrated ruck in history.
He's great around the grounds, but he's not a ruckmans pube
And ruckman are the most over rated position in the AFL so who cares, who are the last 10 premiership winning ruckman?

Guys, if you can't stand another poster, use the ignore function
if you want to insult, name-call and partake in tit for tat, take it to PM, because if you keep doing it here, it's not going to end well

He is gone. No other reason for the signing to not be done by now.

What do we realistically get in a trade? This club just lets you down constantly, finally draft a superstar and he’s out the door after year 4.
Shit happens, they’ve done more than you know to keep him. Looking at 2 firsts + extras. Should be at least 3 firsts in a fair market. Life isn’t fair.

I don't see a way it gets done without the following

Crows
- one of draper , Worral or another young gun. I doubt they do Soligo but.. but I assume SOS will ask for the world.
Port, I cannot see how this gets done without Butters going somehwere.
- Regardless I think the realistic option is we somehow get two top ten picks from somewhere and maybe Joe Berry.

It has to get done, he’s out of contract.

Those players have to actually approve to come to our club, it’s incredibly unlikely they’d move, almost certain with butters.

So, we have the number 1 star of the league which we haven't had since... Riewoldt?

What do Port or Crows have to trade for the star of the league? What happens when it's not enough?

A long stand off happens, you can actually bring in an afl mediator, but they can’t really do anything. Ultimately it has to get done in good faith, or we lose the player for nothing. It’s not fair but the best player in last years draft went to the premiers.

I haven’t seen any of these interviews tonight FYI.

But if you’re going home. You don’t need to discuss it with the family. That’s what they want.

You’re discussing that your staying. Your rationale and the opportunity in 2 or 4 years time to come back.
If youre leaving whats the best way to start softening the blow and planting the seed. Just start using the key word family. Its the one get out clause no one can argue with.
If he was staying he doesnt need to discuss it with his family. He just bloody tells them . He certainly doesnt need to tell us all that he is asking them for permission to stay. Im afraid based on tonight hes going and we need to be damn prepared to play hardball. 3 firsts from adelaide over the next 3 years is utter trash

Does the fact that his good mate Windy is moving out of their share house mean anything? Is it because Nas is moving out as well?

He's clearly been trained in the ways of the force. Everyone around him believes. Ross even had him on his shoulders.
He was meant to be the chosen one. Bring balance to the force by defeating the dark side, but in the end he will join them.

I just like to point out that Steeles comments about watching him play, where ever that may be… I think Steele said recently he doesn’t watch any footy on tv, so he must mean watching him on the field in realtime at the saints, or im just hoping he stay 🤣

So pictures of champagne corks popping during the week, ITKs implying Nas is as good as signed.

A matter of days later and the kid gives the clearest indication yet he’s going back to Adelaide. What is the disconnect here? What’s happened in 48 hours?
