I’m all over the ‘late-bloomer’ concept. But not the late ‘dud’ concept. I think recruiters will be all over the potential of players to go on past 28 and well into their thirties now. Sports science. I am not kidding.
Look at Cameron. Look at Gunston. Look at Danger.
Old timers, traded and super stars.

Faith in draft is folly. Ask North.

Don’t know who needs to read this to cope, but this made me feel a little better. Clutching at straws, but my Friday night now feels a little less grim.
He's getting offered the biggest contract in Australian sport already. He's not going to peak more in the public conciousness than what he did after last Sunday.

Same reason why JHF came out and said in the year he left Norf that he was enjoying his time there and was fully committed.

They’re coached by their management team to alleviate pressure and speculation throughout the year, unfortunately.

Maybe this weekend we'll beat our own record of the biggest half-time comeback and Nas will kick the sealer after the siren again.

What's better than someone winning the game off their own boot? Someone winning the game off their own boot, two weeks in a row.

No thanks.
No more records. Can we just please win every quarter convincingly.
I need an easy win I can sit back and enjoy.
There’s been way too much stress this week already.

Serious question, when is the last time a 22 year old of his talent moved? Can't think of an example.

I just can't see how it happens. I get if he wants to go home but really how homesick can he actually be playing the footy he is?

Losing him would be beyond disastrous..can't even bring myself to think about it.
I think that's what a lot of people and journos are struggling to get their head around. Reasonably, most would struggle at work with such a decision in front of them. Seems more people on here are struggling with this question, than is Nas.

Just sat next to jock bottles misses at a kinder trivia night. She is as arrogant and you would expect. Josh got her a massive rock though.
Reminds me when we played hawks and tauru took that mark going back with the flight I said "thanks for the viking joshy". Turns out she was sitting 1 row in front of me, turned around and did not look impressed haha

I left at 3QTR time, so I just need a win that I can sit back and enjoy.
You know they’re playing the 4th quarter on the big screens before the game.
So watch it, and pretend you were there
🤣

Biggest load of shit I’ve ever read
Probably. But I just can't imagine Nas sitting back and saying, "Geez, Port look pretty likely, especially after I end up costing them two first rounders plus a player in the most compromised draft era in AFL. I wonder what talent they'll bring through. None, I guess. But at least they picked up Jack Lukocius, Joe Richards and Rory Atkins last year. Plus I get to play with Kane Farrel and Zerk Thatcher. And Boak's retiring. Plus Ollie Wines is 5 years past his. And I've got an untried coach to play under. Boy am I excited! I can't wait for when we play our first final in ten years time!"

If he wants to leave for Port, then good luck to him. He won't be breaking our hearts in any meaningful way. He only be ruining his career.

This is celebration week.

So respectfully,

WTF are YOU on about?

Wilkie
A Swiss watch.
Sharman
A third forward. Beautiful hands and leap, is a good kick (this year exception) Could be a Bayley Fritch.
Hall
A colt!

But what does pointing to those three mean?
I mean, in respect to my point. Which you ask about.
Well, my point is that,

Players are blooming late, or they are having a ‘bog’ but seeing an Indian summer like never before.
I can only assume it’s because of modern, nuanced training methods.

No longer do they all run sprints together. (Or if they do, they are marked differently)

Then there is improved physio, recovery, surgery etc., in addition to the the fact that we all generally live better than twenty or forty years ago.

So…
I think older players have never been more valuable…

Hence, late bloomer.
