How so??Or it’s pretty bad if the club didn’t get on top of it early and let get to this stage
That’s basically the crux of the issue though right. If Nas hasn’t had any genuine interest with signing on and we’ve been engaged by BW in poor faith this whole time, I think that’s pretty average.Or it’s pretty bad if the club didn’t get on top of it early and let it get to this stage

LOLCome on….
We’ve had him design the indigenous jumper,
We’ve had a 5-star silver service, wine and dine dinner in a mansion,
We’ve recruited a cuz from SA…..all months ago
A private jet flight to Vegas,
A promise to get him a Nike sponsorship,
Business class flights and Qantas lounge passes for him and family….
Ok, I might just have made up the last three![]()

I can’t believe people think the club is so stupid as to not know what we have right under our noses. Honestly, do people seriously think they they were asleep on this?Alternatively, if it’s because we haven’t offered terms able to get it across the line and there’s been genuine interest from Nas to sign on, then I agree with you.
I honestly think we’re getting there.Let’s hope we are a good club
Not get into SC strife ?I can’t believe people think the club is so stupid as to not know what we have right under our noses. Honestly, do people seriously think they they were asleep on this?
The ONLY possible reason Nas doesn’t stay is because he wants to go home.
The club would have done everything in their power to get him to sign.
Or do people think we can see his worth, and the club can’t.
The only qualification is that while we beg to throw the chequebook at him, the club has to also be cognisant of not getting into salary cap strife in the very near future.
And before I get the Battle saga quoted to me - they are totally different players, and I think the club was very happy to end up with the compo pick.
Why would the club offer a back flanker with decent but spotty early year form $1.7m+?Not get into SC strife ?
Finn Callaghan 10 years at 17 million
Rowell 2 million at multiple years
Only the last few weeks has NAS been offered close to that, remember apparently it was never about the money ? And maybe early offers were well under
Asleep at wheel ?
Giannis has his brother, LeBron has his son, give Nas his cousin!!!This whole Tex thing as a potential rookie is fascinating. Wonder what we have told him. If he signs on have we all but assured Tex a spot. This would be his last chance to play afl and you could imagine nas would love to play in the same team as him. If he does leave that’s it for Tex. hopefully it doesn’t come off as to much of a black mail option.
15/04/2025 - Ben Williams: "He's happy there at the moment. If I was a betting man, he'd probably be staying".
01/06/2025 - NWM: "I've got great relationships with the boys. I love Ross, I love all the coaching staff. I want to be part of something special at St Kilda".
Why would the club offer a back flanker with decent but spotty early year form $1.7m+?
It’s only been the last month we’ve seen his capacity as a mid and adjusted accordingly (according to journos with average form)
Yuck. Want more. Future picks won’t cut it because tassy comes in next years. Ports first could be in the 20s. I’ve done the ladder predictor. We should finish below port so can take him to the pre season draftSt Kilda receive:- Berry, Whitlock, 2026 First round pick, 2027 First round pick
Port receive:- Nas
Not sure what else Port can offer apart from this. This is assuming that Butters and Bergman are 100% staying (which sounds likely)
Is this the best we could expect in a Port trade scenario?

FINALS FINALS FINALSSo is the "F" word banned now? Should I expect the Salman Rushdie treatment any day now..???

Aleer says hiWe're not going to have a lot of list spots next year so I doubt we'd be excited about trading in more C grade players.
Do you really think we will do that ?Yuck. Want more. Future picks won’t cut it because tassy comes in next years. Ports first could be in the 20s. I’ve done the ladder predictor. We should finish below port so can take him to the pre season draft
Don’t be a smart ass I know what it means
Maybe earlier offers were in line with how he was playing then? Not get into SC strife ?
