Can we delist SOS?

What’s wrong with SOS, he’s done a perfect list 101:

• Build core around best young talent drafted in 15-20 years, then
• Offer unders to said young core as they start to enter optimal range, followed by,
• Offering overs to external B-grade talent at the expense of said young core.

Perfect list management. Can’t wait to see the next few years of more of these pearlers and hear Stav’s resound support.

With all due respect, and I love them all, and desperately want them to stay, but what were they doing in the first three quarters?

TBH its at the point where its so bad even the inexperience GAGS would be better. And he was awful!!!!

Let's see what comes out in the wash. I know it's excruciating but it is what it is. Windy has been very average until recently. Marshall has had an awful year.

Nas is the main piece. Keeping him is the priority. I really don't think SOS offering him 1.5 million at the start of the year would have made any difference, waiting has been a great strategy for him and I have no doubt we will see more players do it.

Don't worry, i'm sure Stocker, Carroll, Dow , and TDK are all secure.

I like stocker can’t question his heart and effort and jury is out on Dow we got him for not much see what he does next year I guess. Coffield was done.
The other two though… I’d take TDK for 700k less

Windy had played every game this year I doubt he was not included. That being said it’s SOS…

I get that SOS might not hold the whip hand with Nas’ future but if it does eventuate that Windy leaves because we offered him unders for 2 years then the is no way to justify him staying beyond this year. Would demonstrate absolute incompetence

I don't know what we're offering Windy, but to be fair, he shouldn't be getting paid all that much yet. He did an apprenticeship as a tagger and showed he's got the work ethic, he missed the start of last season with the wrist injury and his form was a bit patchy as a result last year. Has definitely gone up a gear this year, but still, not an All Australian or top 5 player on the list.

if he's not happy, take a 1 or 2 year deal and bump your value up over the next season or 2. Think everyone here is catastrophising a bit.

I 100% think would have got him to sign last year.

If the off season is a list disaster, I will happily join the mob. But nothing has happened yet. Calling SOS a disaster before anything has happened is ridiculous.

It is looking more and more like we probably have a massive clean out as we lose all the over 20 years olds in the middle age bracket again. Honestly probably 10 plus year rebuild from bottom 4 if Nas goes and SOS keeps losing quality as fast as he brings in kids and GOPs on mega money. He looks like he's been reading the Lethlean manifesto or the Pelchen Brief on how to turn a club to shit.

I don’t get how we are a bottom 4 team and per the SEN article we have seemingly already come close to maxing the cap? I get Nas is going to get more than we expected earlier but he was still probably going to get 900+ from us so it’s a bit weird.


owen78 what are the chances of Windy actually staying with us? From your post a week or so ago, seems like it’s pretty likely he’s gone? I’d heard earlier in the year that the bombers and hawks were both sniffing around. I assume they are the clubs that have made him better offers than us.
