Nas's Manager is maximising Nas's contract which is what manager's do.

Am sure the AFL establishment aren’t keen on us for obvious reasons. Player managers smell blood and are like sharks starting a feeding frenzy. And the media want controversy and clicks. All a nice combination of ‘people’.

If we just sat there being nice boys we are aren’t going to get up the ladder. There is a ruthlessness going on that we aren’t really used to. It is nerve wracking. But they have to try something.

No one is really privy to what is going on. So all these interests along with nervous supporters are up in arms.

If we just sit back and pay everyone what they want we aren’t going to get too far. I hope and pray we get it right. We’ll just have to wait and see. Wouldn’t like it though if we just folded the tent.

I thought it was an excellent read from someone with no particular ties to the club and therefore no barrow to push.

Yes, it gives St.Kilda’s viewpoints but it’s good to see the rationale behind their decisions. He’s obviously spoken to people at the club rather than just making things up for clicks.

That Ross had spoken to the senior players about what they were going to do, and why, is in my view, acting very transparently and treating the senior players like adults. If Marshall ends up going to the Cats, let’s remember there was a lot of speculation end of last season already that he had requested to go there - something he came out and denied. But there’s no smoke without fire and it seems as though it’s not just bc we may be getting TDK. now that he may want to move.

As long as we get TDK, I don't mind if Marshall leaves. We would get a good pick for him. NAS, unfortunately I think is leaving. Im sure he has made up his mind. If so. We need 2 first round draft picks and a very good player.

If what’s said is true, doubtful, why is Wilkie hating on the club? Blame your manager for not getting you a better deal. The clubs priority is to assemble the best list possible, not overpay every single current contracted player just to keep them happy. Does he expect them to tear up his 750k contract and say, well done, have an extra 250k per season? Delusional if so.

And yes, I would be fuming as well if someone with far less experience (Aleer) came into my profession and instantly earned as much as I did. However, this is the AFL, and unfortunately Saints are a small club and we need to offer overs to entice rival players. No one would ever want to play for us otherwise.

I don’t think that’s always a good thing. Do players like the cruisy aspect of playing for a team with no expectations? A club which is proud of only having 16 (or 18) contact hours per week with the players?

Who wouldn’t love the culture of a place you don’t need to spend much time at, and get paid the same as your contemporaries at other clubs.

I agree with Buddy Franklin, NAS is on a long good-bye lap, giving his all for his mates. He can't exactly come out and say "I'm leaving", but he is long gone IMO. It's not about the Stan, it's about the lifestyle of living in that shithole Adelaide.

As for the other players, lol, all clubs have this going on right now, I say bring it on and if you don't want to be at the Saints, then **** off!!!!!!
