I just said he buried the following players which goes along with the Wilkie story.

My issue ignoring true or untrue is the simple fact that one core friendship group is unhappy and in that core friendship group, only one player is performing strongly across the entirety of this season - Windhager.

That we are at best the 11th best side and for most of the season, the 14th rated side in the comp and players of that ilk are throwing toys out of the cot about wages.

Secondly, not a single player on our list should have a say in regards to list management. Exceptional performance will lead to the salary increase - proven by Nas. Everyone else gets a piece of the pie, Douglas barely played and he is getting antsy that Aleer is going to play over him? He was also signed on exceptional money in 2019 with little proven pedigree behind him.

And no, your last point doesn’t stand either. I can want fair reporting, it’s probably more on me that i wanted a journalist to actually investigate a story. But it doesn’t mean i need to be happy with anyone running: this story is “unconfirmed” but we are running with it anyway or that it isn’t reported fairly either, as I am saints fan first and foremost - why not mention how Marshall isn’t happy and also Make clear he wanted to pursue the cats advances 12 months ago. Adds a fair bit of context to a clubs decision.

I havent ever said unconfirmed reports are right, in fact ive made a specific point theyre likely completely made up, what ive pointed out is that theyre an obvious narrative that many in here and elsewhere foreshadowed months ago.

I also made the point with the CEO comments that not only can he not exactly say Nas is leaving (probably because he still doesnt know) but also that he didnt actually say anything "were confident hes staying" everyone said the exact same thing about Battle last year, you included.

If youre gonna rebut me at least rebut what im actually saying.

Except that the narrative absolutely does exist and none of us has any idea whether its true or not... thats literally the reality of the situation.


The story is so obvious my 4 year old could have written it, if you follow US sports this happens 30 times a year.

Whats funny to me (noting i have no clue whether its true or not, purely that its not some stupidly outlandish story) is that when the story is positive you gobble it up and ask for seconds. Put the tweet in here and claim its beyond reproach but when its negative, like this, its horseshit, made up by a clickbait hungry ambulance chaser.

My point has always been most of it is made up because clubs are a ****ing bubble and player managers and list managers lie through their teeth to protect their clients.

The only thing i tend to put some stock in is number because they are most tangible and even then its true both ways. The TDK number is likely right or close to, as is the NAS number, as was the King number.

Again, i actually think the list is in pretty good shape, i like the direction were taking, points ive made numerous times.

I suppose thinking that a club with one flag in 150 years of existence might be prone to some errors here and there makes me a chicken little does it?

I actually do, i just cant help but point out the logical fallacies and mental gymnastics of people claiming every negative story is a beat up but every positive story is bang on the money.

Some degree of objectivity helps.

FWIW and ive made this point before too, i back the current administration and suspect theyll do a lot more learning from the losses (matches and list management etc etc) than half this board does.
