In fairness, he is echoing the sentiments of many of our well connected posters.Well he is a lawyer
He may stay but it doesn’t look that way to me, why is he still holding out ?.He was at Trevor Barker oval on the weekend for the event the St Neil posted about.
He has posted on X using his real name. What does a well connected sponsor have to gain by publicly sharing that ‘his mail’ is that Nas stays, if he is making it up?
The answer, a lot less than he stands to lose.
I’m confused? You know players, prior to putting themselves into the PSD put contract terms on their head? Are you suggesting he would put a 1 year deal on his head and go into the PSD, knowing west coast would take him, then go to Adelaide after that?So you’re saying Nas ends up at Port in a year anyway? Whereas if he signs a two year contract with us it takes longer? So why wouldn’t he sign with West Coast then?

They have 12 months to work that out. NAS wasn’t worth anywhere near that at the start of this season. Now they know the price.Where does Port or Adelaide get three first rounders from? Because if they have that, wouldn’t they trade them to us for him in that situation, assuming he wants to leave?
Vic is a good bloke and better connected than anyone on Bigfooty.Who the f-ck is Vic Rajah , Is he one of your followers ?
Not signed means absolutely nothing, lets not sugar coat thisIn fairness, he is echoing the sentiments of many of our well connected posters.
The club is confident, as are its people however there is naturally some doubt as the contract hasn’t been signed (to their knowledge).
It’s not a bet each way, it’s just the state of play and the natural hesitation that comes without a signature. It’s the same in any business deal. You can be confident but until it’s signed on the dotted line it’s not done.
Maybe true , but what he said in that latest post means Zero , it was a 50 cent bet EWVic is a good bloke and better connected than anyone on Bigfooty.
From players to coaches to admin at both Stkilda and Sandy.
If he says something. It’s worth noting
I understand you want a categoric answer and that is the only way to judge information.Maybe true , but what he said in that latest post means Zero , it was a 50 cent bet EW

It’s a 2/3 year deal in the ND.
I’m really not sure of the argument.
Ok I've been on holiday since Aug 4 with no WiFi and orders from The Boss to turn my roaming off, with only very brief chances to sneak a look at the Internet.
One of the pleasures this family holiday in the sun gave me was reading a post from Gringo calling someone an "oafish goonbag". Hahahahaha love it!
300 pages since August 4! Wtf?
I've read a bit, but nothing seems to have happened. Can any kind posters summerise the more important talking points?
Today is the day. I had a dream about it. I feel a strange sense about today...
You have got off track by wanting to telling me who he knows and ribs shoulders with , I was commenting on his post that was put up here and that was all .I understand you want a categoric answer and that is the only way to judge information.
But he is saying what his mail is. The actual story is who does he rub shoulders with. That event had current football department key members of Misson, Brown & Dilena all present.
Past players. Past presidents and the likes of Bruce Eva etc.
In short, enough people to give you the right answer or put you on the right track.
That’s all that needs to be taken from it.
The other key point is that it would only be the view of the St Kilda FC and not the view of Camp NWM
That's not how it works, otherwise, no club would be able to get fair compensation in trades. Nas wants to go home to SA, so naturally there are 2 clubs to go to, 1 might be his preference, but it's up to that club to be able to satisfy St kilda and Nas. Assume their contract to Nas is not an issue, then the 2 clubs need to outbid the other to satisfy St Kilda, so we actually hold some pretty decent cards, not the best because Nas' contract is up, but better than many of you think (that we're just going to bend over and receive some junk future picks is incorrect)Of course we are, the denial is predictable it’s going to be a long trade period.
Bottom line is we hold nothing except a threat to send Nas to the draft. If we play that card just watch the AFlPA, the media and his manager play the culturally insensitive card. He’ll be painted as a young guy who’s out of contract and just wants to get home who’s being unfairly blocked by st Kilda, arguably true.
If he goes we’ll get the minimum the afl will sign off on. There’s already precedent for clubs getting unders because the only pick available is a late first for example. Very much doubt anyone but st Kilda supporters will think it reasonable to force Adelaide to come up with 2 top 5 picks. Also the player swap is so difficult, someone you want needs to want to come.
Adelaide won’t go sliding a list of stars across to us and saying take your pick. We’ll have the list and they’ll be saying no contracted, has no interest, required player.
i would want these guys before their 15 minutes of fame, not after itI wonder if we might look at Bobby Hill as a potential option, we are in the market for a small forward. Would be perfect for us.
Depending on what these issues are, I think we should be asking the question
Brett was a big favourite of mine at the time. From Paul Amy - as good a source of suburban sport as anyone else out there.
Meanwhile, St Kilda is believed to be one of the clubs interested in its former father-son prospect Voss, who has emerged into a long-kicking and tough half back with Frankston.
The 23-year-old son of Brett is among the favourites for this year’s Fothergill-Round-Mitchell Medal.
Im as pessimistic a supporter as there is and I actually dont think hes made a call, to be fair, i think if hes waiting til post season its worse for us (i cant see him wanting to leave Adelaide when hes there after the season ends) but the complete lack of any definitive rumors etc. implies he hasnt made a decision or at least hasnt told anyone if he has.You seriously don't think he has made a decision , the way he looks when being interviewed , its Done
All there is to do is work out how far they bend us over
that bit ive thought about,we dont want to lose Naz,so how about"mr soligo and mr rachele, your on 800 and 700k respectively at the crows,at the saints your both on 500k"Plus if they do come it means paying them more which will make a mockery of the windhager case
Steal*that bit ive thought about,we dont want to lose Naz,so how about"mr soligo and mr rachele, your on 800 and 700k respectively at the crows,at the saints your both on 500k"
soligo and rachele tell us to gagf, then give the crows a spray on their way back to lockers 8 and 14
why should we help them steel our player unless we are getting what we want?
Exactly, we need talent, and more of it. Nas on his own is not going to make us improve from a bottom 6 team to a top 6 team, it's just give the ball to Nas and let him take on 2-3 players. It's not sustainable, and we're still poor at most facets of the game. Until we can at least break even in the midfield, anything else is just a bandage solution. There are a number of facts of this situation that are being ignored
1. Nas has not signed
2. Nas has not declared a destination club
Also, unlike others who put talks off, there appears to be conversation between club and player. Probably a key point in the chance of him staying. If it were pre homesickness, he doesnt re-sign when he did the last time when his homesickness was sky high, that was the easiest time to bail. I think this is what muddies the waters most, there seems to be ongoing dialogue not "talks are on hold".
That is all we actually know, and both are facts by omission of an overt act.
Everything is is pure conjecture and guesswork. Personally, I am of the humble opinion he will ask to leave. This automatically moves into list management mode (what this thread actually is!). How do we best cash in on him leaving. Noting him leaving does not guarantee us failure and his new team success (Judd, Lockett, Buckley just to name a few).
The trade will absolutely be difficult, complex, take some time AND involve more than two teams. Just look at the most recent big name trades - and (we might want to thank the media on this one) Nas value is SKY high, the focus is ridiclous. So its a great chance to cash in. How many players have come, and gone who were touted as the next big thing only to come back to the pack? Bolton, Rowell, Reid, Rankin even was seen as the lord and saviour himself. Another fact: teams will double and triple down on the Nas prep in 2026 and beyond. Our game plan is BUILT around him (look at his handball receives), and the high number of 1-2s and 1-2-3s is huge. Further, teams like Freo and Carlton had Judd/Fyfe with zero success... So, if we lose Nas, we need to capitilise and bring in assets to improve. And guess what, if we KEEP him, we still need to damn well do the same! We are f****** bottom 6 with Nas, falling over the line against rubbish teams.
The real question is, can we complimen Nas with enough assets to actually become a top team (pls dont give me Pou, Boxshall etc, this is all hope) OR would it work out better to bring in multiple assets by trading him.
Time will only tell but one man himself is NOT the key or answer to anything at all. If that was the case, the pies with Daicos wold be back to back to back .....
Stay go, i dont care - the club needs to improve and it an be done with or without him.
my son got it for me for a month for $1 back in june, because he simply doesnt have normal tv and doesnt plan to ever get it,he and his gf just put on any old crap on netflix and whatever & get any other info off their phones,it seems that he can do that over and over using a different email address,im back in a months time and the ryder cup will be on soon after i arrive,so will be looking to get it againYep... just keep it for the season then unsubscribe. Pretty awesome, really.
Bottom line is if they want him enough they have to show how much by paying the appropriate amountOf course we are, the denial is predictable it’s going to be a long trade period.
