I didn’t catch the game… was interchange steward for our local footy finals so kept the phone away other than checking a few scores.

How did Aleer look? Only 12 disposals but had 9 intercepts. Curious to know how he looked.
Aleer was good. I think what we can bank on is Boris being one of the best backman of the last 30 years. He will turn him into a star

I agree with this. Aleer looked good today. Moves well--is an absolute huge unit when you see the game live. He seemed almost as tall as Keeler. I think we can turn him into a RTB/Boris special.

Looked handy. You would be pretty happy if he was delivering that for us next year.

Evidently a few Aleer bashers are MIA right now.

His hands under pressure ...handballs out of congestion ... are pretty good as is his tenacity

There is something there to work with for sure but he just looks messy ... lacks a bit of class

Still he is only 18 and has now 12 games under his belt .... a big pre-season coming up and needs to put on more size

Funny enough we got to one of the games early and watch the defenders running drills. He was doing them with Nas, Sincs and a few others. He looked the best skilled and classiest of all of them. Was scooping up one touch ground balls, hauling the ball in from overhead marks, weighting his kicking, stepping around our best players like he was taking the piss. He looked super classy.

He looks better on paper. Not a basher but he looked their weakest link in an exceptional defence.

I hope u have had fun death riding them all season🤣
It's been great. I always love their misery but even more so this year haha

On the flip side I'm excited for you Sainters, so happy NAS is staying and you have some good young guys so the future is looking bright. I really hope you win a flag soon. My grandma is 94 and is a die hard Saint so I have a very soft spot for you guys.

Just had a chance to look at the stats, 4 kicks, 4 marks, 66 metres gained 🤔 played a blinder.

He actually played better than I've seen him play in other games but certainly wasn't outstanding in any way. He's fine I just don't want to give up much for him. Looks like he's coming so just have to hope he's got a lot of improvement left. Looks more third tall than one on one defender to me.

He’s not a designated kicker. Not super important how many kicks and metres he had to be fair. But that is a counter argument to his 9 intercepts.

What I said and what you’ve said are both stats, which is why I wondering ‘how he looked’, defensively I guess.

I didn’t see any of it so I’ll have to take your word for it.

Looked handy is code for what ? Was ok at best ?.

Where did he play and on who ?

Gringo, no one is going to force you to buy a new jumper with his number on the back next season.

But he was pretty impressive today, I think it was that second quarter that he really had an impact when we had momentum and we couldn’t get it past him at times.

You can give him his flowers today. It’s likely the most ANY of us have watched of him in one sitting.

His defensive positioning could use some work. But all the tools were on show today and if that’s what we get at minimum next year, we are getting a very good addition.

I looked pretty damn good at training as well ;)

I obviously saw something different than you. He was okay but I just don't see what he does that looks exceptional in any way. I think his best bet is to play as a third tall forward where he isn't exposed one on one. I accept that he's coming and I'll hope for the best but didn't think today was a good game from him. Hopefully he can take up Battle's old role.
