Free Agency Period: Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

If we could turn Wilkie into Flanders and keep our pick 7 and Geelongs first rounder it’s good for our list profile.

Both are contracted so if they weren’t offering their first picks no deal.

No way, Wilkie should be a 2 first round picks. or 1 first round + good young player. he is a gun full back, top 3-4 in the league for me.

Personally, I'd listen to their offers until the last 15 seconds of trade period. And then laugh at them for 15 seconds.

The point remains about salaries and the figures quoted by the media. Been widely quoted the AFLPA did analysis of the top 100 paid players in 2024, as per the code/herald sun rich list. It was 30% accurate (even when they have a $100k range).

If the Bulldogs can afford to pony up $4.5 for Cal over 4 years, seems obvious they could have upped their offer for Silvagni. They either didn't (negligent by them if so) or Silvagni's management didn't even bother asking.

If I were Silvagni looking at the player lists I would be thinking Bulldogs >> Saints... so what is it that persuaded him to come to us? Obv. it could simply be $$... but my guess is that it is a question of RTB >>> Bevo.

It is flabbergasting to me how bad a coach Beveridge must be that with the list at his disposal the Bulldogs have not made the finals 2 out of the last 3 years. And they have never finished top 4 under him.

Back to marching Sos out the door if we’re loosing Wilkie and Marshall for Aleer and De Konning. Talk about paying through the nose to tread water.
