2025 List Management Discussion - Part 4

Now that our season is over, and news is starting to break - it's time for a fresh thread.

This thread is to discuss all things list management - trades, draft, free agency, delistings and more.
As we are now officially in our off-season, we'll be wanting to keep this thread more strictly on-topic than the previous iterations.
Be respectful. You are allowed to disagree with someone - but play the ball, not the man. Repeat offenders will have their posting rights revoked.

Thanks to Lore once again for this incredibly useful spreadsheet.

2025 KEY DATES
Free Agency Period:
Friday, October 3rd - Friday, October 10th
Trade Period: Monday, October 6th - Wednesday, October 15th
AFL Draft: Wednesday, November 19th - Thursday, November 20th

Hate to be that guy, and happy for the receipt to be kept on this, but Nas has full intentions of returning home after this 2 year deal. Yes, things can change, but this is the current plan. Intel comes directly from somebody in SA who spoke to him 2 weeks ago, I trust the source.

We have two years to pull a rabbit out of the hat.

Wow what a brave prediction by that source!!

So when I read articles on the AFL website or elsewhere these days, it's mentioned quite matter of factly that Marshall wants a move down to Geelong, like it's a fact, common knowledge.

Is this true? And if so, how sticky could it get do we think if we refuse what Geelong offer, which will no doubt be unders at least in the first instance?

I think he would prefer to be closer to home, but not at all costs, is my understanding. Happy to stay

Hasn’t even been in the leadership group yet has he? Needs to concentrate on improving even more right now.
Would need to give it to Sincs for a year or two first.

Can we at least have 12 months without the SA nuffie told me Nas is going stuff again. I still have PTSD lol.

In 2022 I won a comp through the club where 3 random members got added into artwork with a player. I’ve got a whole heap of gear around the house they sent me which is awesome!

I know lots of people are happy for Steele to be moved on but I would love to see him retire at the Saints. A warrior through some challenging times that I think still has a bit to give

If the whole Nas experience this year showed me one thing thing, it's that most people who claim to know anything don't.

Nas also very famously didn't leak anything about what he was doing until extremely late in the process, but now we're being told he's immediately turned around and told somebody he's gone in two years. That isn't passing any kind of smell test.

Marshall asked to be traded to the Cats last year. So Geelong are obviously into him.
