If not on the wing, could Hippy play key defender for a while? Gives him an opportunity to use his field kick.

Could have a Richo-like impact in the backend of his career as a genuine winger. Would be elite particularly if Allen gets his body right, Gallop continues his development and Logan does what he usually does.Hipwood to the wing !!!
Ty Gallop has a couple of fantastic traits, he plays better with better players around him and the higher the standard of competition the better he plays.

Joshua Schache? When was the last time we had a key tall with his contested marking ability?

Who is back from injury first, Hipwood or Payne?Hipwood can try, but Andrews will lose his mind trying to cope with all the mistakes
The one game where he played as defender, I remember Andrews was so stressed out at least visibly on tv lol.
On a serious note - Payne's return next year would be a bit delayed so Hipwood has a chance to press his case there.

Are either back before the bye?
There was some discussion on here that Hipwood’s surgery would basically consist of a full reconstruction. I’ve no idea, and we’re not likely to hear anything from the club until after Christmas.Hipwood was a partial ACL tear repair, Payne was patellar tendon which might be longer.
Not sure who will come back first, I was hoping Hipwood - not sure.
Gallop has more natural aggression than schacheJoshua Schache
Somebody already shouted me 2 years Premium Platinum, I can't go any higher than nirvana.
Smith isn’t very good as a key forward. Too slow. Even in the game where he kicked 3, he only had 5 disposals. The next week, Sydney used his opponent to spark lots of movement. With Gallop and Smith emerging, Hipwood back in the side next year, and Logan continuing to be elite, do you really need Allen—especially for the price he’ll command? By the way, I’m an old Fitzroy Lions junior, so Brisbane’s my second team—I come in peace!
Gallop puts on defensive pressure as good as most small forwards as well, I also think Ty is a very good kick, it has been on display in the reserves, hasn't quite got the confidence to go for it in seniors yet.Smith isn’t very good as a key forward. Hipwood won’t be back at the start of the year. With the bench going to 5 and the sub removed you could play all four of Gallop, Morris, Hipwood and Allen.
Put your glasses on to see which circle is ticked.Somebody already shouted me 2 years Premium Platinum, I can't go any higher than nirvana.
You were right, LOL! Did not notice that at all, I am overdue for an eye test, may be time to make that appointment.Put your glasses on and see which circle is ticked.
We went too soon on Drapes. We could have had Goldy.
I was interesting, Payne was out on the ground before the suns match walking around with the players and helping with the warm up, nothing great but no bracing on his leg, and was moving normally without running. Hippy was at the MCG, was shown a couple of times in the background, again no crutches, seemed to be walking normally although it was only flashing moments. I'd think with both, you're probably right, why rush them, after the bye round seems a really safe target. There was some discussion on here that Hipwood’s surgery would basically consist of a full reconstruction. He'll replace Cox at CollingwoodHe'll go to Geelong
If someone came for Smith I'd dump him in a second. He's been on the list for 5 years, played 5 games. If you haven't emerged after 5 years. Performance after half-time vs Collingwood & match against Swans were putrid. With Gallop and Smith emerging, Hipwood back in the side next year, and Logan continuing to be elite, do you really need Allen—especially for the price he’ll command? Thought this was a nice little summary by James Hird on how the best clubs are builiding lists these days:
