I was at the that function this morning and both Delana and Misson in they the way they spoke were not all positive about Nas staying. They did not say directly if he was going/staying, but the way they phrased things did not fill me with any confidence. Nas's manager is certainly not in favour either.

Even Butler when referring to next preseason remarked, IF he was there....

Briefly spoke with Nas....who looked very uncomfortable with all the attention he was getting.

Sharman confirmed that the play that won the game was all developed on the spot. Apart from Nas waving and yelling at the forwards to move to the right which included Sharman, Hill also ran forward telling the forwards to do so.
God, this sounds terrible 😢

Here's everyone on our list not taken in the National Draft, via trade or as a Free Agent during the post-season player movement period (so Rookie Draft, Mid Season Draft or as a SSP):

McLennan, O'Connell, Armstrong, Hall, Heath, Sharman, Stocker, Boyd, Wood, Caminiti, Wilkie, Marshall, Sinclair.

We find meals at the bottom of the fridge better than just about everyone.

My wife was a corporate lawyer for a long time. I went to lots of dinners and parties and never felt at home as someone who was bought up middle class and spent lots of time in the country. It actually repulsed me and made me feel inadequate at the same time somehow.

Watching people to remember which fork you are meant to be eating with and trying not to make a dick of yourself isn't fun to me. I'd rather go to the pub and play pool in all honesty. Maybe it says something about me but it's not my bag.

We still have corporate mates who don't like the OTT shows of elitism either so I don't know who it impresses.
Done plenty of those sort of things, and no-one other than the psychopaths that seem to occupy the CEO seats of a lot of corporations seem to actually like them. Most people prefer something simpler, and just enjoy the better class of booze being served.

Anyway, most black tie corporate dinners still end up as just another booze-up in my experience......

As for the cutlery, start on the outside and work your way in.........

All signs and credible reporting point to the most obvious answer, that Nas is torn and legitimately hasn’t made up his mind yet.

Another scenario is that he has, but is playing it close to the vest to keep all parties interested and drive up the price (which would be good business and a huge success to this point).

Scenario 3 says he wants to get traded, but only if a fair deal can be reached behind closed doors.

In any case, my point is anyone claiming they know for sure what he’s doing is utterly full of shite, or parroting someone else who is utterly full of shite.

I know it sucks to be in limbo but best just settle in, could be here a while longer (god I hope not though)

If we'd even been average in national drafts along side that we would have gone somewhere a lot faster.

Cheers mate, and despite the age gap, it seems Leek and Isaac were both part of their NGA academy at the same time so would know each other pretty well.
Leek, Isaac and Nas were all part of the Crows NGA

Leek was aligned to Centrals, Isaac to North and Nas to Glenelg

Leek was available to Adelaide to match at the draft as his parents are from Africa. Isaac was available to match as an indigenous player from a regional zone in Adelaide catchment (Port Augusta)

While Nas due to his junior club Glenelg, was part of Adelaide's NGA, he wasn't available to match at the draft as he was zoned in the Adelaide metro area. Neither SA clubs have access to indigenous players from the metro area.

In another post you mentioned that Isaac was kicked out or fell out of the Adelaide NGA. The only place I've ever heard this is on this board (twice now)

There are plenty of posters on the Adelaide board still active with the SANFL clubs they grew up with. Never heard 1 of them mention it. And there were plenty on the Adelaide board who would've been stoked for Adelaide to draft him.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like nonsense to me

The booze was definitely always very good.

IF THIS IS ACCURATE ***

We literally have the majority of our best players and future out of contract at the end of 2027. Including Ross himself & now Hall with rumours Windy is signing a 2 year deal and potentially Nas 🤮

Apologies if someone has already posted this but my mate is at the 40 year + members function and he said that Missen said that we should hear on NAS over the next week. That’s it.

Everyone interprets things differently, eg the most recent RTB presser.

I wonder whether any other posters were at this function who may have viewed the comments differently.

It could just be that we are keeping a bit of a lid on things until it can be formally announced 🤔

My view on the Nas situation is that he would prefer to go home but knows how hard it would be to get a deal done and doesn't want to leave with us getting peanuts in return.

If Port had multiple first rounders this year like Essendon for example, I reckon he'd be gone.

Most likely stays for 2 more years. Port have 2 years to come up with tradable assets, we have 2 years move up the ladder.

What do the Adelaide supporters think they are achieving by coming here and declaring we have to accept a packet of chips for the best player in the comp.
Some people from every board are just plain arseholes. Personally, I'd have thought with all of the bullshit we put up from 2015 and Dangerfield onwards posters on our board would show a little more restraint and empathy

Some people are just dead set campaigners though

Wish we'd signed him for longer but he should get a very nice contract next time if he keeps his form going.

I suspect that Hall's manager would prefer it this way, for if Hall continues on with his recent form he will get a monster contract in 2 year's time.

I had a brief chat with Sinclair today and told him that I thought Hall was a lot like him in his ability to make quick good decisions and to then execute that with very good disposals. Mentioned to Sincs that I rated them both along with Nas as the best three in the Club at present in this regard. Now it was a member's function and I was just a random talking to Sinclair, but Sinclair by his response seemed to concur on how good Hall is.

Someone at this event is heavily implying Nas is signing on a deal longer than 2 years.

This person is also a player sponsor of one of our biggest talents.

Keeler was never kicked out of the Adelaide academy. He felt it was better for him to play SANFL and also felt Adelaide didn't rate him which was borne out when Adelaide chose Billy Dowling at 43 with Keeler going the next pick to the Saints
