I don't particularly like the bloke but he is one of a select few who actually have a ****ing brain or are capable of critical thinking in the AFL media landscape atm.

He was right, a deal with Port is impossible without Butters IMO. (Either coming to us or via a 3 team deal to move picks)

I'm a bit upset it's getting to this point. I know his value is going up, but it's going to hurt our club so much now if Nas leaves.

I deal with Hutchy for work.

Very shrewd operator. Very cut throat when required to.

Also very fat
I remember seeing him in the flesh YEARS ago at a stand up gig Glenn Manton of all people did at princes park.

I was shocked by how big he is, just tall and thick, he wasnt quite as obese as he now is.

Still had an absolute glamour on his arm too.

Just doing some lite reading. Tim Kelly actually better Geelong 3 first rounders. On that base, nas is worth 4

Worth a fortune. So completely believable he had a glamour.

Is constantly working. An absolute animal.

But… is a huge fat ****

This was pre the empire he was but a mere reporter, no doubt still worth a bit but id suggest his access and notoriety was more the appeal back then.

Used to see him at Melbourne United games more recently, fatter, never with a woman, one assumes he squeezes in with call girls like proper rich ****ers do.

They'll be hoping Butters can be convinced to go to Essendope so their two top ten picks (maybe 3) can be sent our way.
That would certainly give Port the assets for a trade.

I think the more likely option is Hawthorn. They have two first round picks (their own and Carlton’s).

In either scenario Port have the capital to cobble together a realistic trade. We wouldn’t like it, but it would provide NWM more flexibility to make a decision.

However it is believed that Butters would only be interested in playing for Geelong or the Western Bulldogs. He is originally from Bacchus Marsh.

I know someone who met him earlier this year, that was his first comment to, unbelievable how big he is and the TV does do him a lot of justice.

I honestly believe it's line in the sand time. I'd be absolutely wrapped with the club if they were hard arses about this, even if we got nothing in the end.
That would be unprofessional and emotive. Ww did that with Luke Ball. How does history regard that bold stance?

West Coast own Hawthorn's first rounder (Barrass trade).
